Read so many suggestions here about our Land/Sea trip -- since the Park Hopper passes are officially useable on the first day of our land portion, the suggestion was to arrive a day early in order to be at the parks first thing, rather than using up half the day in transit.

That makes sense --- so I was able to book a room at the Port Orleans Riverside for the night before our "official arrival" date so we will be ready to start park hopping first thing the next day!

Only question is -- will we be able to get our park tickets early in the AM and do we get the at the hotel desk?

We have arranged our own transportation and are not using Disney's. So I assume that our documents, etc., will be at the hotel.

We booked last summer at two separate WDW resorts b/c we couldn't get all our dates for a Fla Resident discount. WE booked Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge. With the split reservation--we would just check into the first hotel and then the resort would handle transfering our bags and we would only check in once. Not sure if that would apply to your tix--but maybe it would.

Hi,

We are doing the same thing (coming in a day early at SOG, then staying at Poly for 4 nights). We were wondering if we could walk over to the Poly either that night (I don't think this will work) or first thing in the morning so that we can be ready to go!

The anwser is Yes , the next morning , just go to the resort
And tell them u are there.. CHECK IN time is 4:00 pm for the resorts
However they may have a room ready in the morning when u get there to get passes ...and may let u have it... ANYways u may BRING YOUR LUGGAGE with u and Store it With Bell services If room is ready you could take to room.. but either way u can still store it with bell services.. get tickets go to park have fun.....
and check back later with the hotel to see when room is ready..

We stayed at POR the night before our trip. Then I drove over at 6:30 am to the Poly--I was too excited to sleep. They activated our passes, took up all our cruise docs, and even gave us our room (this was in late Sept) so the room was ready. I went back to POR, woke up DH and DD. We transfered all our bags since we had a rental car. We also used our passes on check-out day, taking advantage of EE at MK and eating breakfast before going over to the ship.

As to docs: several weeks prior to the trip, you'll get a package from DCL with all the cruise tics, etc. you need to take these with you, along with your id.

On our last land/sea, we also came down a day early. Someone in the family went down to re-register at about 7:00 a.m the first day of our land portion. We had to check out and then check back in. We got our Length of Stay Passes and left to have breakfast and then EE into the parks. We did not have to change rooms. It worked out well for us.
