Silverspark will be adding her input to my report, as well as some photos....

DAY ONE - Sat. 7/15/06

Arrived via our Trusty Yukon :drive: at Pop Century around 1:30 p.m and checked right into room....no problem. We were in the 70's, Building 10, Room 0422. This turned out to be a pretty good location. Close enough to parking, short walk to Classic Hall, and far enough away from the noise of the Hippy Dippy Pool.

Got our refillable mugs....yep, we bought new ones and didn’t try to reuse our old ASMo mugs :drinking1 ....and ate a quick lunch in the food court. Afraid I don’t remember what we ate, as I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t eat anything.

Got to MK around 4:00 p.m. or so and it was hot and crowded. We headed straight to Pirates...waited in line about 30 mins. and enjoyed seeing Cap’n. Jack. Did a few more rides, and then had an ADR for LTT. I really can’t attest to the food, as I barely ate a thing....I do remember that the salad and the cobbler were good, and I really wish I could’ve eaten more of that...especially the cobbler. We did a few more things and then I really wasn’t feeling well...had a real tightness and pressure in my chest and other symptoms that I’d started having the night before  . We left our girls (20 and 15 at MK) and DH and I snuck off to Celebration Hospital’s ER to have me checked out. (My mother and grandmother both died very young of massive heart attacks, so this kind of thing worries me.) Long story short, they kept me overnight...actually until 7pm Sunday....did a ton of tests....and I still don’t know what the heck caused the pressure....maybe esophogeal reflux....but at least I didn’t have a heart attack. NOT the way I wanted to start my Disney trip!!!!!

Stay tuned...I promise it gets better!!

Sorry you had such a rough first day. Glad though it wasn't as bad as you thought it might be. Looking forward to more TR from you. :thumbsup2

P.S. I am also from the N.O. area and the really funny thing is my sisters name is Shannon :rotfl:

I am familiar with the old acid reflux disease in my family too and the symptoms are to close to being a heart attack ......NEVER TAKE a chance.....good thinking that you went to the ER

I'm so glad you are ok - heart disease history like yours is something to worry about indeed! Just read Days 2-4 and am glad the trip is going better for you. (In 1994 we went on vacation to WDW & before we even left the hotel my husb suffered a heart attack & died. He had heart disease plus his dad & grandpa but I think the long trip was too much. My DS19 has been in hospital twice this last year with symptoms like yours but the dr's say its an anxiety attack).

Well enough of me, I hope you are doing ok and now on to reading the rest of your great report!

I feel so bad you didn't feel well at Disney, at least it was better news than you thought though. And glad to hear it gets better.

Heaven2dc....I'm so sorry about your husband....how absolutely tragic.

Glad y'all are enjoying the reports.

I have an appt. next week with my cardiologist to check everything out...thanks for your concern.

Oh my goodness! Im sorry you started your trip out like that but so glad to hear you were alright! I started my last trip with a very bad cold, I couldnt eat or enjoy anything until I bought a $8 box of non drowsey sudafed and than felt great, it was the best $8 spent ever! lol

bluejasmine..unfortunately, I'm pretty sure mine cost a little more than $8.... :(

WOW What a way to start a trip. I just looked at the photos of your beautiful family and I never would have guessed this is how you started your vacation. Glad it was nothing and I hope the rest of the trip was uneventual healthwise

Oooh.. so sorry you had to leave the World on your first day there! I am very sorry about your mom and grandma. :( It is so very tragic. Glad to hear it gets better for you! :thumbsup2

Glad everything turned out okay. Did you start feeling yucky in the car. I swear, everytime I get in our vehicle for a road trip, I get sick.

Gonna start reading the rest. Thanks for sharing.

No, I actually hadn't been feeling "right" the entire week leading up to the trip. It just got progressively worse starting on Thursday night.
