We are in CA celebrating my grandmothers 90th birthday, and we decided to make a day trip to Disney. My uncle's family worked for Disney, so we were able to get all but 2 kid's passes for free. Here are some of my tips we discovered.
1. Rope drop. We got in right at 8, and got Indiana Jones Fast passes, and was able to ride pirates, splash mountain, thunder mountain, Hauntee mansion, Indiana Jones, Snow White, Pinocchio, Bobsleds, Buzz and star tours all before lunch at 12:30. There was nobody in adventure/frontier land for the first 1-2 hrs. And Fantasyland was crowded, but wait times for everything but Peter Pan were low.
2. Use Disneyland app and utilize FP! We wanted to go on the Bobsleds. The wait time was 40 minutes. I hopped on to the app and saw that they had FP immediately. We grabbed a FP and waited 5 minutes for our time and practically walked on. I noticed it happened a lot. A line would have a 30 plus minute line, but FP were available right then and there!
3. Prepare for rides breaking. Indiana Jones went down a lot. Space mountain was down for a full hour. Whenever I checked my app, something was always down!
We were able to ride almost every ride in DL we wanted. Unfortunately, I had 3 kids under 7 and two tired grandparents, so we didn't explore DCA, but overall, we had an awesome day!
