Our Honeymoon-10 Days at Disney

Queenie, I just rememberd that you can buy the hats in the parks, but you'd have to ask Heather about the headband if that's what you prefer. If you get the hats, you'll need hair clips to keep yours on.

We were in stateroom 6078 and you'll LOVE having a veranda!!! I hadn't been to WDW since I was about 2 but DH has been 3 out of the past 5 years so he sorta showed me around the parks and I sorta showed him around a cruise ship! You'll love it! And you'll get soooo many congrats and other stuff for being on your honeymoon!!!

One thing you might want to do on the ship is the Surial Bath in the spa.... It wasn't included in th package and I think it was about $60 total for both of us. It's like a mud abth/ steam shower thing that you get to do together for an hour. You're locked in this room (you lock yourselves in) and there is a regular shower with tons of soaps and lotions and stuff, then mud to put on your body and then a very mild steam room as well. And the 2 of you are left alone for an hour to do what you want........ :) :) You also want to eat at Palo, the adult only restauarnt. it's soo romantic!! We saved our bottle of champange for then and loved it!!

I bought my headband ears through the Mad Hatter shop at Disney Land. We got them in about a week- it might have been less. I loved having the headband because then I didn't have to worry about clipping my hair up. I like the other ears too though. It's alot of fun being at Disney with Friends. I know that Lisa and I had a great time when we were together. It made waiting in some of the lines alot more fun.
Have a great trip!

I got 3 rolls of film (out of my 30) e-mailed to me just now!!! They are rolls #4-6 and you guys are in roll 3 , 17 & 18 but I'll post some of what I ahve in my trip report and wait to post pics of you guys in yours!!!

Cool, can't wait to see them! I just IMd you, but I guess you aren't on AOL right now :-) Just thought it would be cool to chat. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Hey! I was downstiars on the phone with Scott's grandma. But we're chatting now so you still found me! LOL

Happy Thanksgiving All!!

Less then 72 hours now and I will be a Sadie!! (married lady). It's going to be alot of fun having Queenie and Jay running around with their Wedding Ears on at the same time as us.

Queenie, Since we are getting to the lodge the day before you are, we will pick up your ears at DTD the same time we pick up ours.... I want to have ours when we check in (you never know what magic might happen) and I want yours waiting at the front desk for you so they'll know your coming. So no fear they will be waiting for you!!

Can't wait to meet you and Jay in 2 weeks!!

Thank you Heather and Lisa for your wonderful trip reports... I am more excited then ever now!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

Disneymooners, good luck on your upcoming wedding and have a BLAST on your honeymoon, I know you will!! Wearing the ears is THE best thing to do (as you can tell from Heather & I)!!!

November 17, 2002-Sunday
This morning we had to get up early to make our 9:50 am Character breakfast at Norway. When we got to Epcot we went strait to the Nations. The Nations don't open till 11:00 or so. The only people that can get in are the ones who have Breakfast at the Nations (I am not sure if any of the other Nations have breakfast besides Norway)
It was a Princess Breakfast and I wanted to see how it was. The food was wonderful although by this point I am really tired of food...why, oh why did we do the grand plan again?? The princesses all came out one at a time and Belle was first. I have to say she was my favorite of the day because she went out of her way to get a picture of Paul and I with her instead of just one of us. That was very sweet! The other pictures with the Princesses are with just me. My favorite Princess, Sleeping Beauty, stood too close to the table so Paul couldn't get a great picture of her gown. Later I got a long picture of her gown, but it wasn't the same. I was really impressed with this breakfast. They make sure that all the princesses come to your table and that you are satisfied with everything. After breakfast we walked around Epcot. We had lunch in Mexico, which I wasn't thrilled with because of all the Mexican places we can eat in Texas, but the food was ok. We then walked around some more. When we got to Italy we got to see the Masked people do their show and then got tons of pictures with them. My favorite one would have to be the jester. He put my ears on Paul's head because Paul didn't have any on. It was funny. After that the Statue was there and we got a ton of pictures with that too.
Then we wandered over to Canada (I think that was our favorite spot of all) and waited to hear Off Kilter play. I got to hear them last year and really liked it, but I love any kind of Bagpipe band. When we get back from our Honeymoon I am dragging Paul to a pub called the Mucky Duck so that he can hear my all time favorite bagpipe band, The Rouges. (Ok, off topic)
It has been very windy today, but no rain and the sun is out. I hope they don't cancell Illuminations due to wind. That would really stink. We have our Illuminations cruise tonight and I am looking forward to it.
We then went to the boardwalk to take a look around. I traded pins with one of the cast members over there and we had fun looking at all the shops. I felt homesick for my summer vacations at Atlantic City on the New Jersey boardwalk.
We then headed over to the Yacht Club to eat dinner at the Yachtsman steakhouse. It was good food, but our waiter was really snobby. Go figure.
We then went to our boat to have our cruise. We were with another newly married couple and we got to get to know our captain pretty well. He is the first college student they are letting do the cruise as a trial for all of the other college students. I hope he doesn't screw it up too much for the rest of them :). The cruise was nice, but not as great as I thought it would be. I wouldn't have done it if it didn't come with our package because I think you can get a better view standing by the nations.

November 18, 2002- Monday
Although we both love Disney we are really getting tired and are ready to be home with my daughter. We wake up late today because we are both really sleepy. We went to Epcot (yet again) and rode on Figment first. When the ride was over we picked up the glass picture we had made. It's all done by laser and looked so neat that we couldn't help ourselves. When we got them, they looked great!!! I was really impressed. Then we had lunch at Le Cellier (Did I mention the Cheese Soup???) I asked them for the recipe because I really loved that soup and they gave it to me!! I was thrilled. They also shared with me a small secret. The beer that they use in the soup is Canadian beer. They said that american beer doesn't taste the same in the soup. Paul had the salmon for an appetizer because they didn't have it for a main course. He said it was really good because you get different ways the salmon is cooked. After lunch we watched the actors in England again (we watched them yesterday also). They do their own rendition of King Arthur and the quest for the holy grail. It's really funny. (or as they make us say- Rubbish)
Then we saw Off Kilter in Canada (again) They are fastly becoming my second favorite Bagpipe band (no one can top the Rouges)
After the Rouges we went to the Land for our Re-Hitching ceremony. It was great fun. First we had some ice cream and just enjoyed the resturaunt and Mickey kept sneeking up on us. Then the waitresses came over along with Mickey and Chip and we got "re-hitched". Right after Paul kissed me, Mickey kissed me and grabbed my hand. Chip then kissed me and then Mickey decided that he wanted to walk away (note, he is still holding my hand) Pretty soon Mickey starts running away with me and Paul just stands their dumbfounded....Gee, what happened to my knight who would rescue me. Oh well, it was great fun!! I would do it again in a heart beat. We got a certificate saying that we got rehitched and then headed to the Magic Kingdom.
We had dinner at Cinderella's Royal table. We didn't get the good seat this time, but we were close to the windows so we could see the fireworks when they went off. Our waiter was nice, but slow and didn't seem to care very much about his job. Watching the fireworks from the Castle was a really neat experience.
After dinner, I had to go home and lay down. I was feeling really tired and sick. Paul went to the Poly to exchange a pantsuit that we bought my Ashlei because the shirt was a small (the right size) but the pants were a large. Good thing we realized that before we left. He also went into the Contemporary and bought some hanging pooh hooks to go in Ashlei's bathroom that is all pooh.
Tomorrow will be our last day and we are spending it at the Magic Kingdom. My favorite place to be. We had a character breakfast at Cinderella's, but cancelled it because we were so tired and just wanted sleep.

WHen we ate at le Celllier Scott had the cheese soup and loved it too! I tried a bit and it was good! Can you send me the recipe? Maybe I"ll try to make it for him! I never knew you could see Illuminations from a boat! How cool!! Sounds like you guys really had a great time without us.. how dare you?! LOL ;) I'm glad you had so much fun!!

I will email you the recipe tonight. As for us having fun, you guys had fun on the cruise without us and now I want to go on a cruise. Hey, maybe for our 2 year annaversary of meeting we can all go on the Dinsey cruise together...Ok, maybe 5 year..so we can save up :-)

November 19, 2002- Tuesday
Today was our last day at Disney. Tomorrow we would be leaving Orlando and going home. I can't say that either of us was really depressed to be leaving. We love Disney, but we both missed my daughter and were ready to get home.
We spent our day at the Magic Kingdom. We were supposed to have a character breakfast at Cindys, but cancelled the night before because neither of us thought we could get out of bed that early again. (The noise in the lobby kept us up more nights than we care to remember) I know, I know, we were probably crazy to do that, but we were so tired and wanted to finish packing everything up that we just didn't care. When we got to the MK we got fast passes for Peter pan and then rode on Pooh's great adventure. After we rode Pan we wandered around the MK. We had already done everything we planned to do, but then it hit us, we still haven't been on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. How could we have forgotten that??!! So we waited in line and rode on that. It was good, but nothing compared to Rockin' Rollercoaster.
By that time our PS had come for Tony's. That was great! They decorated our table and the food was wonderful. The service was bad (we didn't have a waiter at all for 15 minutes and then a waitress came up asking if our waiter had come and we said no so she took care of us, but she was already swamped). We got tons of pictures with all the Pooh characters and they had the whole place wish us a happy honeymoon.
After that we decided to leave MK and go back to WL. We went on a surrey ride to finish off our trip. That was fun but very tiring. Beatiful senic ride- I enjoyed it very much because it was a slower pace than what we had been doing the whole trip.
We then went back to WL and waited to be picked up. We got to see the lighting of the tree and I went to the merchantile and bought Paul sorcerer mickey playing cards.
Once we got picked up, we were taken our hotel right by the airport. Once we checked in and got all our luggage upstairs, Paul decided that we should go to CityWalk (they have an Emeril's cafe there- Paul's favorite person) When we got there, we were both disappointed with how small it was. We went to the hard rock so I could get a hurricane glass for my collection, bought his sister something from Margaritaville, looked inside Emeril's, Paul was upset because they didn't have a gift shop. Then we left.
We ordered a pizza from our hotel room that night from a place called Brooklyn's. It took them an hour and a half to get the pizza to us and the pizza tasted horrible. I thought with a name like Booklyn's the pizza would remind me of home, but it didn't.
After the pizza disaster we watched a MS NBC Special about Homeless kids in Portland Oregon. It was interesting, but very depressing. I felt so sorry for all those kids.

Day 11, the airport
Well, we got to the airport in plenty of time and sat waiting for our plane. Nothing big deal about that at all. We got home earlier than expected, but my parents were waiting at Bagage Claim with my Daughter. She was so thrilled to see both of us! She wouldn't let go of me the rest of the night! I was thrilled.

After Honeymoon Notes:
Well, the honeymoon is over, but I am still having problems with Disney stuff. We got our Disney Photographs taken and when they were up on the website I looked at them and was very disappointed to see that there were none of the Running Mayor and us. There were also none of us at the wishing well. The ones we did get looked alot like ones I had taken myself by asking other people. I wrote them a email telling them how disappointed I was. They wrote me back and said that it is their policy and basically I was out of luck, they also said that they can't send me my pictures because they never got a certificate from us saying that we paid. Well, we never got a certificate in the first place so I don't know what they are talking about and I don't know how to resolve this because we paid for this whole thing and now are not getting them. That is crazy. I am also writing a letter to Disney saying how disapointed I was about how our stay was booked and we didn't get the gifts that we were promised when we first booked the trip.
It never ends....

That really stinks that you had so many problems.. :( Can your honeymoon cordinators help you out with the photography thing?

Well, I tried contacting them, but I am getting no response at all. I don't know if they will ever get back with me and I don't know who to go to. I have emailed them and called them and still nothing. That stinks too.
Oh well, hopefully things will get resolved once I send my letter. Here's hoping.

Reposted?? I just finished my last day that I forgot to do for a while. Sorry.

Lisa, as far as them not caring, that's how I feel about it and I am really not liking the WL anymore. It's a nice place, but I don't think Paul and I will ever go back there again.
Next year (yes, we still are going) we are staying at the All Star. I have never had a problem there at all so I don't mind staying there. Besides, it fits our budget more than any of the others right now. :)
