DH and I decided to go on a flydrive Sept 2007. The idea was to spend a week pottering around and a week in a villa in Orlando. This will be our 8th trip of a lifetime. My son who is due to go Iraq said he might well come with us if he was free, his wife doesn't want to go. He would sort out a flight nearer the time and as we were going to book a large car and a villa it wouldn't be a problem.
I was looking into flights when my daughter and her DH said they would like to come away with us as well. Speaking to my sister she said that she would like to come again as would my 20 yr old neice. So we were now looking at a 4 bedroomed villa for 2 weeks.
We have always flown Virgin but DH and I both have bad backs and my Son in law is long legged. I trawled this site and spoke to people who have used different airlines and have booked First class with Travel City Direct. I told the rest of the group the good and bad I had found out but we liked the idea of a lage baggage allowance and bigger seats. The car hire with them is not the cheapest but we have got the smallest vehicle we can and will also book a car seperately to give us a bit more freedom. We will also be able to accomoate DS if he comes.
Now the hard part comes, saving the money.
