There are so many great opportunities and so many deserving organizations that it has been hard deciding what to do. I am so glad that Disney is doing this because I think it will really inspire people to get out there and volunteer in the future too....at least I hope so.

DD 13 and I will be doing this:

You can make a difference in the lives of hospice patients with your time and your talents.....make Valentine’s Day Cards for Hospice patients here in the Kansas City Metropolitan.

The goal for the “Flood of Love” campaign is to increase the number of Valentine’s Day expressions of love (cards) our hospice patients receive on Valentine’s Day. By doing this, you will address the loneliness and lack of connection many of our hospice patients experience during the Valentines Day Season.

All of the materials and supplies are provided - however if you have any crafting tools like hole punches and specialty scissors please bring them to use.

Be a part of the “Flood of Love”

I think this will be very fun and having had 3 people who are close to me be in hospice situations in the recent past, I am grateful to have an opportunity to help this particular cause. :goodvibes

Sounds wonderful! I wish my area had more things like that kids could do.
We did ours Thursday. It was to make posters to help fight hunger and poverty around the world and be good to the earth. The kids had a blast doing it and showing off the poster where we hung them locally!
