just thought this info might be of interest to those of you who are currently in the resale purchase process. (or considering buying resale)
instead of posting dates, i have listed the following timeline using Day#s.
IMPORTANT: i am counting days using <b>business days only</b>

Seller accepts Offer that day.</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 2</td><td align="left">Receive Contract from Broker. Sign, fax, and mail Contract/Deposit via USPS to Broker that day.</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 4</td><td align="left">Broker receives Contract/Deposit. Broker passes sale info to Closing Agent and submits ROFR info to Disney. </td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 14</td><td align="left">Broker calls us to say Disney notified that they are Waiving ROFR (we're approved!)</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 16</td><td align="left">Closing Agent contacts us with explanation of Closing Process and to ask if we want Expedited Service. we decline.</td><tr valign="bottom"><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 19</td><td align="left">Closing Agent receives Estoppel Info from DVC, and completes Title Search. they start preparing Closing Documents that day</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 21</td><td align="left">we Receive Closing Package by fax + email.</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 25</td><td align="left">we Overnight completed Closing Package w/ Cashier's Check to the Closing Agent</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 27</td><td align="left">our "Closing Date". Closing Agent sends the Deed to Orange County for Recording, and sends our info to Disney for processing.</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 29</td><td align="left">we receive letter from Closing Agent to inform that we have closed.</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 31</td><td align="left">we Officially Close. Deed is finally recorded. Member Services has set up our account. no points have been entered yet though.</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 32</td><td align="left">DVC Member Services finishes entering our points, so we are able to book reservations! </td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 34</td><td align="left">we receive our Member Guidebook in the mail!</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 43</td><td align="left">we receive a letter from DVC Member Accounting informing us that our Deed was recorded, and we are current on our 2003 Dues.</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 44</td><td align="left">we receive a phone call from DVC Quality Assurance to check if we got our Member ID cards + Guidebook yet.</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 45</td><td align="left">we finally receive our permanent DVC Member ID cards!</td></tr><tr valign="bottom"><td align="left">Day 53</td><td align="left">we receive our Deed and Title Insurance Policy in the mail from the Closing Agent</td></tr></table>
