We acually woke up at a decent hour today and arrived at a park shortly after opening! It was our MGM Studios day, much to Dd's delight. She had been waiting to ride Rockin' Rollercoaster the whole week. I have to say that I, too, was delighted as I walked through the MGM gates. The setting was so whimsical and imaginitive that I immediately fell in love with the feel of the place. This was not at all how I pictured it...I guess I was thinking more Universal or Six Flags...this was soooo not that and I was pleasantly surprised. We encountered the photopass cast members and had several shots taken as we headed toward RR.

There was a 20 min wait posted for RR so we got fastpasses for 20 min later and rode Tower of Terror with no wait. I have a love/hate relationship with this ride, I must say. No doubt it is a great ride...it's just that those drops kill me! And the anticipation of the drops is even worse... I love to ride it, just not too much at a time. Anyway, I thought this TOT is better than the one at DCA. I like the way the elevator moves forward through the hotel. After our ride there was still time before our FP so Dh and Dd rode again while I sat this one out in preparation for RR. My early morning thrill ride capacity is rather limited.

After their second TOT ride, we headed over to RR. This is another fantastic ride. The preshow was great and I just loved whizzing through the dark singing Aerosmith songs. It's the launch that gets to me on this one. Dh and Dd got more fastpasses as we got off and we all went to the Great Movie Ride per my request. We walked right on and got the cowboy scene. I thought this was a lot of fun, especially the movie clips and the Wizard of Oz scene...that was just too cool!

After that fun ride, guess where Dd wanted to go next? You guessed it...RR and TOT. She had had a taste and just wanted more more more...It was time for their FP so they went to ride while I did a little shopping, which was fine with me. I picked up two t shirts for Dh for Father's Day and had them sent to the resort. I also picked up a silver Mickey key chain to put in his card and tucked it into my fanny pack so we could give it to him in the morning. Then I went and checked out the photopass photos that we had taken earlier. They were cute so I purchased a couple and had those sent back to the resort as well.

I then headed back to meet Dd and Dh and we all went to lunch at Backlot Express, but not before Dd got a beautiful face painting. They really do a great job...one of the best I've seen. I took several pics of her before any of it got rubbed off and then we ate some mediocre food at Backlot Express. I enjoyed the atmosphere (and the air conditioning) while we ate.

After lunch we picked up some FPs for Star Tours and went over to the Little Mermaid show. This show was a lot of fun. I loved the puppets and the theatre and special effects were great. After Mermaid, we did the animation show, which was cute...on the way out, we stopped at the stations where you find out what character you are most like. (Dd loves this at DCA) Well, Dd decided to 'help' me and who do you think I was most like? ...Malificent! Dd and Dh thought this was hilarious...Let me just say for the record that I am not a controlling, evil witch...most of the time.

Can you guess where Dd wanted to go next? You guessed it...On the way, we passed the Beauty and the Beast theatre and noticed a show was about to start so we went and saw that first. I just love the shows. This was good, if a little short, but still enjoyable. After the show, I declined the invitation for more thrill riding and went my own way, while Dd and Dh enjoyed multiple rides on their two favorites.

I, on the other hand, got a cold water and a frozen banana and wandered around the park taking in the sights. I walked through NY and SF streets, watched people play in the Singin' in the Rain umbrella, saw the great Honey I Shrunk the Audience playground and visited One Man's Dream. I loved all the exhibits in this place and wished I had more time to view them before the movie started. The movie was inspiring. It was time to meet the 'kids' by now so I headed that way and met them coming out of RR.

They talked me into one more ride on TOT...which ended up being a lot of fun once again, even though terrifying for me as usual. The best part, however, was the picture! As we were walking up to view it, I could hear people laughing and saying, "Look at that lady's face!'' And sure enough, there I was in all my terrified glory...I quickly slunk away....to purchase that picture. As I was buying it, the 'nice' cast member said, "Wow let's get a closer look at that face..." and proceeded to edit out all the other people until it was just me and my lovely crossed eyed terror up close and GIANT! Thanx. Haha heehee...Could you send that to the resort please? b'bye. Dh and Dd had a good long laugh all the way to Star Tours, which we then rode using FPs from earlier.

It was now time to head over to Epcot for our PS at Morocco so we took the boat from MGM and enjoyed feeding the ducks while we waited. We arrived at Marrakesh about a half hour late, but no problem, we were seated right away. Dh and I ordered a mint iced tea and Dd ordered a root beer and we enjoyed the music and the belly dancer as we perused the menu. We ended up ordering the 'Royal Feast' so we could sample everything. The food was to die for@! I liked this place better than our dinner at Flying Fish the night before. Everything was superb and we stuffed ourselves. We enjoyed a moroccan orange water coffee with our dessert platter and enjoyed the belly dancer once again. This time I got my camera ready when she danced over and got a great picture of her dancing around Dh. This was a wonderful dining experience. I would definitely do this again.

After dinner we wandered around World Showcase once again and once again we hit the kaki gori stand for some melon shaved ice. (By the way, does anyone know where we might find melon flavor Japanese syrup for our shaved ice machine at home?) I don't think we would ever tire of World Showcase with all the lovely scenery and great food. After our shaved ice, we watched the Canada movie as we had missed it so far. Like all the movies, we enjoyed this. As we headed out of the park, Dd and Dh stopped to pin trade and I caught the fountain show. This was fabulous! I was mesmerized...then we headed to the bus and back to POFQ.

When we returned, we spent awhile swimming before getting ready for bed and ended up staying up rather late again...It was such a fun day, we just weren't ready to see it end...

Nice report thank you, i enjoyed!

Morocco food sounds really good!! We might try that!

Try torani.com for tons of flavored syrups. I've tried a couple of the sugar free ones and they're really good! I know they have some types of melon flavors.

Thanks for the reports!

Thank you so much for taking time out each day to send us your reports. I'm actually sad that when I log on my computer at work tomorrow there will be no new report (I'm reading this one last). I hope that I will have as great a time that you've had when I get to go back!
Thanx again!
