We went for our first visit to Universal Orlando yesterday. We stayed from park opening until a little after 5pm. We would have stayed longer but we just couldn't move anymore!~ (to be fair, we did 6 days at Disney prior)
Anyway, we LOVED it! We actually only did IofA and had planned to spend the last few hours over at US, but we were having too much fun to notice the time.
The boys have asked for more days at Universal for next year and since we bought the Costco tickets, we do have 2 days left for next year.
It was busy, but not unmanageable and none of the ride waits were long at all. The longest we waited was for the Hippogriff ride and it was not worth it......is that ride even 30 seconds long?????
Kids rode the Dueling Dragons about 5 times in a row as the wait time was 5 minutes long. Dh went once. I didn't go, I hate roller coasters where you hang below the track.
We also rode Forbidden Journey 5 times. The first time we waited in line about 30 min. and the other 4 times we went single rider. We all loved that ride and would have gone more than 5 times but we got hungry!
The rest of the park had very minimal waits, 10-15 min. and we were able to do several things more than once, including Spiderman and Hulk.
We did NOT end up waiting for the Eighth Voyage of Sinbad show. We got in line but didn't make it in to the next show and decided not to wait the additional 40 min. for the next show to begin. Maybe we can do that next time. Other than that, I think we did everything there.
