We are camping for 10 nights begining June 26th and have a few questions that you more experienced campers might know.

1. If we arrive early (which I plan to do) can we get in to the site early, and if not where can we park (Suburban and TT) ??

2. Can you see the fireworks from the campground ??

3. What are the bugs like--is it a problem, and what precautions should we take ??

4. How easy is it to get around the campground and navigate with the camper (30ft TT) ??

5. Is it better to take our car or the buses ???

I am sure I will have more questions, but any help is appreciated--Thanks

If your site is ready you can get in. If not there is an overflow parking lot at the entrance you can use. Fiireworks can be seen from the beach with a kungaloosh in hand. Wasn't there when bugs were a problem. Campground is easy to navigate. We had no problems using the bus system. Some people prefer to drive. A golf cart is nice for getting around the campground and for looping. Book it in advance though.

Welcome!!!!!!!!!

If you want to see the fire works you can take the bus to the back by the beach. They havr tables set up there and you can sit there and whatch the fire work. And if you have kids they can play in the sand or thether ball.:cool2:

If your site is available, they will put you in it, however if not, you can park in the overflow parking area and go and enjoy everything until your site is ready. They give you a number to call.

You can see the fireworks from the marina and the electric water parade comes by as well.

In the summer, the bugs can get bad starting in the evening. Bring lots of bug spray.

There are some tight spots around, however, there are always people to help and if you have too much of a problem, you can always ask if they have another spot available. It is parallel parking with style!:lmao:

It really depends on your kids. When we had our DS as an infant, we drove to the parks, but now, the DS wants to ride the bus, train, boat, tram, monorail, you name it, as long as it is not the car.

Good answers and thank you. We are really looking forward to it. We plan on doing the parks by morning, coming back and vegging or swimming or such, then heading back for dinner. We already have ADR for our favorite places and then after dinner we will finsh up one of the parks. We have so much time we can definetly take a liesurely approach and enjoy alot of it.

I am so excited to know that the possibility to see fireworks from Fort Wilderness. I have never camped in FL

We just left the fort a couple of days ago and my 4 kids wanted to watch the boat show and fire works every night from the beach. They loved playing in the sand waiting for the show to start. They thought the view was better from the beach at the fort then when we were in the park itself.
