On June 27th we took DD to DLP for her 12th birthday. After a rough start we ended up having a good day. The lines to get through purse check were horribly slow. No one was out directing traffic and they had one guy reading the x-ray machine and checking questionable bags. Our first ride was Space Mountain. OH MY WORD! It was the best Disney Coaster we had ever ridden. It was a real coaster! We ended up in a line to meet Winnie the Pooh. It took over an hr to get through the line. Which was fine with me since DD really wanted her pic with Pooh. The thing that killed me was the food line. We chose a restaurant having NO clue it was one of the few restaurants that took the dinning plan. DH waited in line for 90+ minutes to get our counter service meal. I'd never seen a line like that at any Disney Park. At that point in time I was annoyed with the lack of effeciency I was observing at the park. The important thing was DD was having fun. That was all that really mattered. I kept all of my thoughts to myself. :) We ended up really enjoying DLP. It was great observing the differences in the parks. The Thunder Mountain Railroad was better than the other parks I had been too. DD loved it! In fact she was terrified of the one in Tokyo. Cried the entire time. For some reason she really loved this one. (She said she was going to be brave and ride any coaster that didn't go upside down.) I loved Alice's Curious Labyrynth. I loved the dragon under the castle. Overall we had a good day. One of our favorite things was the giant cotton candy cones! They were really good. Not as sweet as the ones in the US but very tasty. I'm just happy DD had a wonderful birthday. It was a magical experience for my daughter who's name is Paris to spend her 12th birthday in Disneyland Paris. :)

Awww, how lovely that your Paris enjoyed her trip to her namesake for her birthday. Really nice to hear about your experience. :)

Glad your daughter Paris had such a nice birthday! Yes, DLRP is Disney the French way ;) so things aren't as hurried (and that is being nice!). But, the park is beautiful and DLRP has a lot to offer.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your trip :thumbsup2.

BTW I am so jealous you've been to WDW so many times! I still have to go - plan on 2015 when my youngest DD will be 7 years old. We feel that this will be a good age for her to do a lot and keep up with the pace as there is so much to do in Florida! Roll on! :)
