Hello, this will be my first PTR as well as my family's first trip to Walt Disney World, and we are SOOOOOOO excited, Me, probably the most right now, but when it gets a little closer the kids will be going nuts. Dh, well, if we go...fine, if we don't go...fine, that's pretty much the way he sees it, even though he really does want to go, he's just not much of a planner at all.
So, it will be me, dh, and our 4 kids going to the world
We will be staying in 2 rooms at Allstar movies
We are going March 21-27
We are driving, AAA says we have a 20 hour drive:headache:
This will be our first time driving this far, we are getting the kids excited about that though, and will have maps and travel journals. We'll try to make it a fun, part of the vacation. It's something dh and I have always wanted to do anyway!

My Mother, brother and his girlfriend may be joining us on this trip! I'll let you know.

(DSS)12,Anthony: This is my Stepson, i've been with dh since he was 22 months old. He loves his stepmom, and he is such a good big brother to his sisters. He LOVES family trips, everyone does, but he gets super excited!!! He loves donald duck, and used to be obsessed with Jack Sparrow and Star wars, I know he will enjoy those attractions at Disney. He also LOVES to skateboard!

Anthony is always fooling around, and you'll notice "he's too cool to smile for pictures now that he's 12"

(DD)9,Emily: What can I say about Emily, she is such a girl, and loves to dress up, and loves to buy shoes, and hairpieces, and everything else little girls want. I was the total opposite when I was little so this is new to me. She loves Hannah Montana right now. Tinkerbelle, is also another of her favorites. Emily is very good with her money, she has strictly started saving for Disney, and has offered to do more chores.

(DD)7,Lizzie: Lizzie has the best personality in the world! She is always happy. She is very caring and giving, I have always said we need more Lizzie's in this world. Lizzie is very tiny, she has hypothyroidism and albrights. Lizzie loves Cinderella and Dumbo. So, yes we have to make a run for dumbo as soon as the park opens. Lizzie is SO excited about our trip!!

(DD)4, Samantha: Ah, the baby of the family! Sam is part princess part pirate, she is very girly but at the same time is in love with Jack Sparrow and Lightening Mcqueen. Ariel is her favorite princess. She is somewhat spoiled, she can be a little monster, but she is so sweet.

So, these are my kiddos, I will have to get a good pic of dh and I , I don't have one on the computer right now.
I know I still have 6 months to go, but hey we started planning this 6 months ago, so we're getting there! And the fact that the park hours are out now, makes it feel even closer.
To anyone reading along, thanks, and welcome to my pretrip report, it should be fun, I have alot of kids, they make for some fun times.

Ok, i'm not that great with the computer, I tried to resize these pictures and I cannot get them any bigger. I have them on photobucket ,Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and how to fix it. Thanks:goodvibes

Congradutations on Your 1st trip to WDW. you will have an amazing time.:thumbsup2
On our 1st trip we stayed at All star movies. I loved it was so fun with all the big disney stuff., 101 dalmations, toy story and fantaisia (SP?) We stayed in the Might ducks section it was great, got walk thur 101 dalmation every day!!
Our you planning any Character meals? I really had a great time at Chef Mickey's and am looking forward to going again in Sept 2009.
Lookingforward to read more about your plans.

Yay, my first readers! I'm so excited!

Hi bookmama! I love reading reports when the kids are about the same age as mine also.

Hi grace and mickey! We might be doing the quick service dining plan when we go, not too sure yet, but I'm definately thinking about doing a character meal!

So, like I said we are driving to Disney World. And I am already pretty excited about that! I can't wait!
So, I ordered a Triptik from AAA. This was the first time i've ever did one. It is so great, It comes with maps for each state you're driving through, tour books for the states that you're driving through. This way if you need to stop and find a hotel, you have a list.
The triptik itself is a booklet with parts of the map on every page, it's very thorough, you know when tolls and bridges are coming up. It's excellent. At the beginning of the book it lists every states laws regarding carseats, seatbelts, headlights, and a few other things. It also has a few pages of driving tips. I was so impressed, and a AAA travel agent even mapped out our route with a marker on the paper maps.
The kids were excited to get this in the mail yesterday!

And look at that, I figured out how to make the pictures bigger. Go Me:woohoo:

So about the drive, we are leaving on Friday March 20th! My girls get off the bus at 3:30, and then we will go to pick Anthony up at his Mom's house. All while dh is hopefully getting in from work and showering QUICKLY!! After I pick Anthony up I'll grab us some Mcdonalds, we'll bring it home to dh and eat. I would like to be in the truck by 5:00pm, No later. Is that asking too much, we'll see! I start my vacation from work that day, so I'll be home all day, everything will be clean, and packed.

Seeing how I figured out how to make the pics bigger, I figured I'd post a few, so you could actualy SEE them! Just don't mind the dates on them, every time I fix it in my camera, it just resets again to something else. I have some pics that say 1:00am 05/2014. It's weird!

TheRipstick.jpg

Anthony loves his ripstick, I bought if for him last christmas, it took him months to figure it out. to anyone thinking about buying one, think about it, he has fallen quite a few times and scraped up his knees and elbows. Although, that could be because he tries to ride it down a rocky hill covered in dirt and twigs, I don't know!!

So this is the plan!!!!!!!!

Friday March 20th: This is the day my vacation from work will start, so I will be home with Sam, who doesn't have preschool on fridays. We'll have everything packed by the time dh gets out of work and the girl's get out of school at 3:30pm. While dh comes in to shower, me and the girls will go pick up Anthony at his Mom's house. We'll grab some Mcdonalds on the way back and come home eat. I am hoping to be on the road by 5pm:goodvibes AAA says we have a 19 hr. drive

Saturday March 21st: We'll be arriving in Disney World sometime between 5pm-8pm(I'm guessing) So I don't know if we're going to plan much for Saturday, maybe just do what we feel we have the energy for. I'm guessing the kids will be ready to go, so maybe go for a swim, even head over to DTD for a little walk. And hopefully be in bed early.

Sunday March 22nd: Will be our Hollywood Studios day, we know we want to eat at Pizza Planet(we're big toy story fans) !!!!

Monday March 23rd: Epcot day!

Tuesday March 24th: We're going to plan to sleep in, go swimming, go to DTD, play mini golf(it's one of my family's favorite things to do) and then head over to Magic Kingdom around 5 or 6pm for a few rides and to watch Wishes.

Wed. March 25th: Full day at Magic Kingdom

Thursday March 26th: Animal Kingdom

Friday March 27th: We'll be leaving this day, but I think we're going to leave mid day, so I'm not sure what are plans are for this day yet.

So that's what i'm thinking so far. I was talking to my brother and his girlfriend the other day, and they do really want to go. I told him i'm booking no later than the end of October so he needs to tell me. If they go we are going to need to push the trip to the following week because that is his girlfiends last week of school. No big deal, so if they go it will be March 27-April 3rd instead. I think I can hold out 7 extra days for them.
