Hi! I'm new :)

We are going to Disney in January for 5 nights for a work meeting for my DH. We get in Friday afternoon and leave Wed. morning. So we have 4 nights to eat dinner (if I don't include the night we arrive b/c I think the kids will be too tired for a big dinner). Two of the nights we have dinner with our meeting (one of them is a private Pirate and Princess Party) and the other two nights I booked dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle and dinner with Pooh and friends at the Crystal Palace. Are those good choices? Our group also has a private character breakfast booked one morning.

What did you do for breakfast and lunch most days? Is it easy to find a place to grab a quick lunch? We're staying in the Grand Floridian Hotel. That is where our group is booked. Does anyone know anything about it? Supposedly with our GF card we can go to the pool at any resort. I'm hoping we can just get breaksfast or room service at our hotel most mornings.

We have 4 full days in the Park. I guess that's enough with two 4 year olds and an almost 2 year old. Any special recommendations of which areas to go to, etc.?

I've only been to Disney once when I was 9 years old and I barely remember it. I would love any tips! I did book my 4 year old daughter for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique before our Cinderella Dinner.

Thanks :)

I don't think that I have ever stayed at the Grand Floridian before but for lunch i'm pretty sure most hotels if not all of them, have restaurants and/or fast food cafe type of places that serve lunch. There is also plenty of restaurants around too. Two of my families favorite places to eat at is Shoneys and Perkins. Both about 5 - 10 min from downtown disney. Hope this helps a little.

We LOVE the Grand Floridian and you will too!!! Your dining plans look great. How fun to have a private princess/party and private character dining!!! WOW!!! I want to work for your DH's company too! As far as food at the resort there is a quick counter service location that offers breakfast/lunch and dinner. There is also the GF Cafe that is a sit down restuarant and very YUMMY! They also offer room service as well. I would recommend you go to www.allearsnet.com and under accomodations check out the GF. They have pictures of the resort and also if you click on the dining link you can view all the menus at the various restuarants at the resort too. I hoped I helped you!

Looks like you've got your meals all booked for Magic Kingdom. You have little ones, and you are staying at the VERY convenient Grand Floridian, so you probably will spend a lot of time in Magic Kingdom. Why not do a counter service lunch in Animal Kingdom. I think your children would enjoy that park as well.

Thank you all!

One more question... if you had 4 days with 3 small children, how would you spend them? What lands, etc.

Thanks! :)

When my daughter was younger she really enjoyed Magic Kingdom especially fantasy land with Dumbo, teacups, etc. You get the idea. Also Toontown with the Barnstormer roller coaster just for smaller kids is a must. They will love it! She also really like Disney Hollywood Studios seeing all the shows she had been watching on VHS for years like The Little Mermaid live show, Beauty & Beast and the 3D Muppet Show. Of course kids love animals and Animal Kingdom has plenty of those! The safari ride is so nice for smaller children. It's a Bugs Life 3-D show totally freaked her out with all of the "bugs" and the giant grasshopper but you just never know...

I would suggest for your children's ages and your resort location the MK would be my primary target; however, I would also go to the AK because there are a lot of neat things to see like the animals but there is a "boneyard" to dig in and a stage show of "Finding Nemo" and they have real birds that perform called "Flights of Wonder."

Have a great time.

Epcot can be alot of fun for little ones too. the different countries have crafts based on their culture for the kids. Two other restaurants my kids liked were the Coral Reef, one whole wall is an aquarium, and the Sci Fi Dine In, you sit in cars and there is a big drive-in movie screen at the front that plays cartoons for everyone
