A quick recap:

Day 1: Plane trip down, towncar ride, check in at CR. DW and I had a wonderful, lightning-lit dinner at CG.

Day 2: Breakfast at CRT. Whirlwind tour of Fantasy and Tomorrowland. Disappointing dinner at Mexico. Toured the World Showcase. Illuminations.

Day 3: A day at AK with lunch at AKL. Dinner at Kona Cafe. A fun but soggy NoJ.

Day 4: Thunderstorms! MGM in the afternoon (no RnR ). A dry and wonderful NoJ.

Day 5: Church and the Holy Land Experience. Shopping at DDM. Dinner at BW.

Day 6: DW and I had PS for Chef Mickey's breakfast this day, and we made the most of it.....truly enjoyed the interaction with the characters. Again, the food was excellent (see any pattern?) Although we could have gone much cheaper by eating at the less expensive Disney restaurants (and probably will in the future), this trip was definitely more wonderful due to the awesome dining experiences we had.

After Chef Mickey's, we headed back to MK to pick up some of the rides we'd missed in the previous days. Suprisingly we walked right on to Splash Mountain! In fact I was tempted to take a picture, because I'd never seen a time when there was NO LINE on that particular ride. :earseek: Although I've read on another posting that there was a bad mildew smell on the ride, neither myself nor my DW noticed. In any case, we also rode PoC, looking very hard for references made in the movie, and had our picture taken on Main Street (my favorite from this trip).

After spending the morning at MK, we were ready for our DVC presentation. Our CM, Gib, was very informative. We did a walk through of several of the DVC rooms, and received a presentation on the merits of membership. There was no pressure or coercion, just a simple presentation of the facts. All in all, it was a great presentation, and left us seriously considering membership. We REALLY like the way they've set up the new Saratoga Springs resort, and the furnishings are AWESOME (if we could buy the Mickey mahogany headboard they have in the resort, we would in a second! :) ). Oh, and they gave us a ticket for a free lunch to be used during our vacation!

After our presentation, we tripped down to WL to look around, and grabbed some lunch poolside. They have a Lincoln Log WL set there!
Afterwards, we went back to CR and rented a water mouse for a half hour (only then realizing that the bridge over the road leading to the CR is actually a canal!).

At 4:30, we had reservations for the tea at the GF. It was a very nice tea, well presented, with wonderful service. The background music, which was performed live by an orchestra, was also wonderful. The time was a highlight of the trip.

After the GF tea, we went back to our room, and prepared for a night out at DQ and PI. We really enjoyed DQ, especially the PoC game, which we could have done a few more times if the line hadn't been so long. Since neither DW or I drink, however, PI wasn't as much fun as we'd expected. We thought that a night out would be fun, but the crowd was very small, and we just couldn't get into it. The highlight of the night was the Comedy Club, which wasn't too bad, but I doubt we will do PI again. We would be far more likely to go back to DQ and check out Cirque Du Soleil (which we haven't yet seen).

After the fireworks at PI, we departed quickly, and headed off to CR. We spent a little time before bed debating our decision on DVC, and pretty much decided we'd go for it with the Saratoga Springs Resort being our home resort, as those contracts last until 2052. Then we went to bed to get ready for Tuesday and Blizzard Beach!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

You will love it! We are owners at BCV. We bought the year it opened! Jealous you get the extra 10 years, but I am hoping my DH's military retirement will have bought me a nice winter home somewhere warm by then!! ;) You will definitely enjoy the freedom of vacation that this offers!! Cant wait to tour the SSR models when we are down there next month.

WDW is such a great place for families. We havent started ours yet, but find that there is plenty of fun for young couples without kids too!

If you havent checked out the DVC board, you should check it out!

We were very excited to sign up for the DVC....both for ourselves and our future children. DW and I have been to WDW twice now as a couple and absolutely love it.

The deals for military are absolutely awesome right now...make sure you get a chance to take advantage. Have a magical day!

The deals are great! We bought AP's in February and right after they announced the military tickets! But, we will still get at least DH's free ticket so we will only have to pay for one pass to DQ and PI.

Did you go to Universal or SW on the passes? May try that as well.

Always starts off a relaxing week, then we try to cram all this in! Isnt it great!

we are not members.......but you are in a good group of people......thanks so much for your report......

We didn't try out USF....come to think of it, we didn't do USF on our last trip, either. There just isn't enough time to do all the stuff Orlando has to offer (hence buying into DVC :) ). I think we will likely buy AP's next year when we go, and then go the following year prior to the expiration of the AP's, getting the value out of them.

I'll be buying the Candlelight Processional cd......dreaming about next year....

Thanks for the great trip reports and congratulations on the DVC Membership. :D

Good idea! Then you will want to plan more than one trip per year, and need more points, then more trips, then more points...its addicitve! Be careful! :Pinkbounc

Wonderful reviews ~ Thanx for sharing.

Congrats on joining the DVC. I am trying to talk my DH into it but he isn't budging at the moment. However think of all the wonderful vacations you will have! :p
