We booked our first disney trip for Oct 8-14, and have been waiting for a good promotion. Now the dining deal is out but our dates are blacked out :( do they typically run another promotion? we can't change our dates due to work schedules. This is making me feel sad when I should be happy :sad2:

Im sorry to hear that you are on the blackout dates. Im not sure what is going on that week. I would assume that they would not have any other discounts that week but I could be wrong.

This is why we don't book our vacation until we find out about the deals. But our family is a bit more flexable since we drive down and don't have to worry about flight prices and getting the cheapest one.

I hope that you have a good time visiting the Mouse.

Now that you are on the Dis, you will know WAY much more information next time. We all have to get it wrong before we get it right. NEXT time you go to WDW, wait for the promotions or PIN before you make your reservations. That's what the veterans do.:teacher:

We are planning for Oct too. I usually get all kinds of PINs, but not this season. I just booked offsite today.

Did you say your arrival date is October 8?? That is our arrival date, we are staying 5 nights, and we got to apply free dining to our whole trip! You can still call Disney and apply the FD code. Good Luck!:cool1::cool1:

Columbus Day weekend is extremely busy and they rarely offer discounts for those type of holiday weekends. Since that was the only time you could go you just have to be happy you are going and hopefully you will have a great time.

We did the same thing - although we are there the week before. I was pestering them with 200 questions while I was on the phone and they said if that I could only switch if there were open "deal rooms" at our resort. (CR) Then they said if there wasn't I could switch to another resort in that class if there was availability.
