We leave next Tuesday to spend three full days at WDW before going on our Disney Cruise! I am beyond excited but also slightly nervous. We go to WDW every year but this will be my first time with a baby (9 months).

For any of your who have had experience bringing a baby, did you carry him/her in a carrier? If so, how long each day?

We also have a 4 and 3 yr old so we're bringing our double stroller. I originally wanted to bring another umbrella stroller but it's starting to become too much with the luggage we'll need for 12 days.

Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated!

I have worn my little ones in a carrier. I would bring just the double. When the 4 yr old wants to walk you can let baby ride in the stroller. Depending on how heavy your LO is you could carry him/her all day. Also depends on the weather too. If its warm then a break will be needed.

We took our youngest at 7 months and we used a stroller and a carrier. I wore him in his Beco Gemini more than he was in the stroller. I'm sure it totaled up to several hours each day at least.

We've had three trips with a non-walking baby under a year. In all three trips, we had a 3 year old as well. (And a 6 year old in addition on one of the trips). We did a single stroller. For two of the three trips, baby was in the sling the entire time. For the other trip, baby was in the sling except napped in the stroller. So, the 3 year old could walk then.

I think you'll be fine with your double and a carrier most likely. The only thing I'd advise is that your stroller can recline all the way flat if needed for naps. That was a need for one trip with an 8 month old. Though that same child at 2 months old preferred sleeping in the sling. A different child, at 11 months old, also preferred sleeping in the sling. As for how many hours a day, 8+ hours. We get there at rope drop and stay until someone acts like it's time to leave - which was always the 3 year old of the moment. We leave in between 5pm to 8pm normally.

*When my youngest was 2.5 years old, he refused to sit in the stroller or walk, so I was stuck carrying him in the sling except for rides. I was out of practice since he hadn't used the sling for about a year at that point, but I made it work. At that point, carrying him in the sling for about 4 hours total a day was all I could handle. It wasn't about the weight but about that I wasn't used to carrying him in the sling or even carrying him for several hours period.

Thanks y'all! The stroller reclines so she can take a nap either way. Everyone is telling us to leave her home but I can't do that! I know she won't remember but she can look at pics.

We just got back with our 9 month old! It was one of the best trips we have had. He was amazed at everything! He may not remember his first trip, but I will!
