Our first MVMCP... what should we know in advance

We are doing our Christmas a little early this year, on Friday the 22 which is the last night of the MVMCP, Our cast and crew is My Mom and Dad, DH and I, DD, DGS, and SIL so party of 7..

Our tickets are bought.. so that is taken care of...

DH and I are planning to put a Disney gift card in everyone's stocking, to use for a meal or whatever..

The debate is on about matching T-shirts, I really can go either way... DD and my mom really want them but SIL doesn't want them... So that's up in the air...

We are planning on riding some rides, but really just checking out all the special stuff... dance parties, parades and fireworks... and being together as a family is what this trip is all about.

We are planning on heading over when DGS wakes up from his nap... around 2:30 or so... Would it be worth it to pay for VIP parking or not... I am thinking more about the end of the night and my parents are in their mid 70's, my mom does have some mild heart problems, so taking this into consideration.

So what are your tips, for us....

Remember it COULD be chilly at night, so you might not see the matching shirts much. Just something to keep in mind.

Also, you know you can get into the park at 4pm with your MVMCP ticket, right? I wouldn't bother to get a park ticket for that day if you aren't getting there til 2:30. Just wait til 4 and use that ticket to get in and save the money!

Do you care about meet and greets? Some of those lines can get very long so you might want to look into those if they are important to you!

Not sure about parking because we always take the bus.

OP here,

Good point about the jackets I had not even thought about that.

I know we can get in at 4:00 and are planning on trying to be as close to 4:00 as we can be if not we are okay with it.... But we really want DGS to get his nap out, and we will be able to stay at the party later if he get batteries charged up and then he will be ready to party...

I was thinking about getting my parents their magic bands, and go ahead and set them up and DH and I are pass holders, and so is DD, I think SIL has a magic band... this way we could make some FP's...

As far as meet and greets, DD is looking into who they want to meet. Is there a list somewhere tell who, when and where?
