Our First Ever Family Vacation *Pre-Trip Report*

I wanted to give ya'll a sneak peak of what's going in the box. I have the invite ready and I have the transfers for the shirts ready. I just have to find a time to go to the store without the kids so I can get t-shirts. Psh, you know how hard that is.



Wow! That picture came out huge, lol. This will be the first thing seen (hopefully) when opening the box.


Our shirts will have this on the front.

A big thank you goes to Mandy (absolut_mandy) for making the invite and Marion (RustManFan) for the picture for our shirt. If you have not checked out the Creative Disign forum over in the Just for Fun section, you have got to head over there. Those people are awesome!

Oh it's a lot of fun! It's a "ride", I believe there are FP's available for it, but if you can't get one line is available.

This is definitely something that you should look into if your DD likes Belle. It's kind of like a little show where the kids get selected to play the parts of the characters in the story. Belle comes out and after the whole thing they all get their picture taken with her. It's super cute I have heard that the lines for this get really long so if you think you def want to do this than I'd get a FP for it.

Look what came in the mail today!!! Our maps! I am all kinds of excited right now.....and so glad Katelyn wasn't with me when I checked the mail, lol.

My TA just sent an email. We have free dining! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! She had to upgrade us to a preferred room to get it. I'm not complaining. We are well below budget now.

Reading this reminds me a bit of us. My children are older then yours, but also homeschooled and we will be going to our first ever trip Sept 7 to 13. So very excited to get there.

Keeping it a secret is definitely harder, especially with them being homeschooled. We've only had the one hiccup so far, other than that it has been very smooth. I'm so glad we were able to get free dining. It's helping out so much.

Not much has happened over here planning wise. We had my husband's best friend get married and he served as best man, so our week mostly revolved around that. Now we are fighting a bug -_-
Even with that though I finally got the hubs to really catch the Disney fever. He was all for it before, but now he's looking into to stuff himself and saying he can't wait to go. Haha! I win! It's great when he really jumps on board with something.

Alright, I really need to update. I'm going to make one general update and then make more detailed posts. Things got a little crazy with the end of school and then summer starting. I'm just now getting time to update. I finished getting all I needed for the package, so we we're able to announce it early. The kids are thrilled. Noah would ask every morning if we were going to Disney that day. Now they have their countdown made and put up, so they ask to do that instead. Ok, so now Im going work on the detailed posts, lol.

First up is the Surprise Package. The outside of the box did not come out quite like I had pictured it. Instead of the glitter spray spraying like hairspray, it sprayed in glops. I was not very happy with it, but the kids didn't seem to mind.


I had help from the creative board and had a label made that showed the package coming from Disney World to us. We didn't tape it with packaging tape, so that it would be easy for them to undo. I was worried it would raise questions from Kk, but it didn't. Phew!

Sitting on the top we had the invite.



Under the invite we had the letter from Mickey telling them when we would be going, the hotel we were staying in, and a little of what was in the box.



Next we had the maps, the transfers to make t-shirts, the countdown chain, and other paper product I had printed out.






We had a few things for each of them for the trip.




We then had our t-shirts and their ears. Dh also had found a t-shirt he really wanted for Kk, so that was also included.





Underneath all that we had the Junior Encyclopedia of Animated Characters. This was the book I had to wait on. I'm so glad we got it in earlier than I thought. They will be bringing this for the characters to sign their own page.




They are very excited!




And I just wanted to apologize for some of the not so clear photos. These were taken with my phone instead of my camera.

Here is the surprise video!!! I have to say that they were excited in the video, but after I turned it off and we started going through the box they became even more excited. I think it had to sink in, lol. Also, I apologize now for having to watch it side ways. Apparently my phone does what it wants and you can't fix it.

We made our countdown calendar and I must say it has kept the 'when are we going?' questions at bay, well except for those random days Noah still asks, lol.

We also had a very pleasant surprise from our TA. We were given the opportunity to have breakfast with Anna and Elsa at the Royal Coronation Breakfast. We accepted it and now have another surprise waiting for the kids.
