We are sad our fantastic trip to WDW is over. We had a WONDERFUL time, beautiful weather, and low crowds. We never waited more than 10 minutes for an attraction (we did use fastpass though) :cool1: We stayed at WL (we are now converted, will definately stay again). We booked a standard view room, and requested bunk beds for kids, dd4 and ds2. We ended up with a stunning courtyard view, complete with view of pool, and Bay lake. We were able to watch the ELP from our balcony. DH and I enjoyed sitting on the patio each night as the kids fell asleep. Beautiful evenings.

Day 1: Monday, arrival, and magic Kingdom for the evening festivities. We had dinner at the Crystal Palace, YUM. (we were on the Dining plan)

Day 2: Tues., Full day at MK. We were there early, and just jumped on the rides. We even rode things multiple times. Swam in the pm, and then had dinner at Ohanas. Food, only so-so. Atmosphere, fun.

Day 3: Wed., Long day at epcot. Breakfast at Akerhus with the princess', Loved turtle talk with crush. rode soarin, and test track. Fun. Went to DTD, and shopped and ate at Rainforest Cafe, we ate on the patio and watched a beautiful sunset.

Day 4: Thurs, EMH at MK, rode lots more rides (we took the parks in very small doses because our kids are so young. We found it best to play early, and rest in the afternoon before returning) My DD and I went to the perfectly princess tea party(worth every penny). MGM in the afternoon. (our least favorite park, although DH loved the stunt show) Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner. YUM. (our ds2 was starting to hit the wall!)

Day 5: Fri, AK. We LOVED AK. the Safari was amazing (again no waits for any attraction!) The Festival of the Lion King was incredible. Kids loved all of it. DH loved his ribs from Flame Tree BBQ. AK had incredible theming. We really enjoyed it (only half day). Dinner at Cape May Cafe, nice setting, loved seeing the BC, pool looked great! Toured World Showcase and saw Illuminations at Epcot.

Day 6: Sat. (yesterday :sad2: ) Chef Mickey's for breakfast, fun, but characters did take FOREVER. Kids loved it. MK until our bus for the airport came. Crowds were much heavier, we felt lucky that we had had such a great week without big crowds.

Our Big favorite was: WL (what a beautiful resort, my favorite of all we saw) The lodge had such a feeling of home, the theming was magnificent.

Like I said, we used the Dining plan and LOVED it. It was such a conflict avoider for my dh and I. We never argued about the $$. It also allowed for a more "disney-like" experience. Normally we would never buy the kids snacks in the park, but in this case we could using the plan. The kids loved it, and we found that it increased everyone's satisfaction with the trip.

All in all, a very magical trip, one I am sad to see end. Hopefully I will talk my DH into another one next year!

Sounds like you had a great trip! You ate at some of my favorite restaurants, and glad to see your positive review of the dining plan--I'm trying the dining plan in May for the first time.

Thanks for posting, and welcome to the DIS!
