Here was our experience at Disneyland on Thursday July 1st, the first day of 8:00 AM openings. Hope it is helpful!

In general, the park felt pretty empty, especially the first few hours. We were pleasantly surprised how much we accomplished!

6:45 left Residence Inn
7:00 Arrived at Harbor entrance
7:15 security open
7:20 through security, 3rd family in line at Disneyland gate
7:45 gates open, everyone held at end of Main Street
8:00 rope drop
8-9 Peter Pan, Alice, Mr. Toad, Indiana Jones
9-11 Haunted Mansion, ROTR (BG 10), Pirates (got stuck on it for 30 minutes!), Dole Whip break
11-12:30 Buzz, Star Tours, lunch break
12:30-1:30 IASW, train from Toontown to Main Street

Sounds like the lines at harbor aren't as bad as they were a month ago when marvel first opened.

I was really worried about it but they haven’t been bad at all and once security opens at 7:15, you fly through to the esplanade.

That's great! We're going in a month and I was definitely concerned as well. We're staying at the Best Western right across the street.

When they held you at the end of main street, is it at the end of the line of buildings or in the hub area?

Again, a wonderful glimpse into what we should expect for our trip next weekend. This is truly appreciated. For a family that’s been too many times to count, we feel like we are going for the first time! Weve actually been to WDW twice since our last DLR trip (2/2020), so DLR will be a bit disconcerting to us for a few moments. Just hope we get to see Maynard, then all will be right with the world…uhhhh, land.….
