Our engagement shoot with Randy!

While I'm no longer a Disney bride, we transfered our deposit with Randy to an engagement shoot to be done at the Yacht/Beach Club and Boardwalk. We finally did it yesterday, and it was so fun!!! We were extremely nervous, cause posing for pics is not something that comes naturally to either of us. But Randy was amazing, told us where to stand, what to do, and made us feel comfortable. About thirty pics into it, Brian and I just talked and laughed with each other as Randy snapped away. It was a little awkward to have tons of people walking by while we had pictures taken, but eventually we just blocked it out. Brian was so wonderful, telling me during the pictures how beautiful I was and how much he loved me....no wonder I'm marrying the guy. I think the best pics are going to be when he's just making me smile genuinely. I'm getting anxious to see them, and it's only been a day!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Randy. He's so down to earth and easy to talk to....one girl even came up to him and introduced herself...she has him booked for next year and was there on a planning trip. It might even be a DisBride! Randy was shocked that people know who he is, what he looks like, and that he has made a name for himself. He asked if there were any pics of him circulating the internet because people seem to know who he is!! I told him that I think I caught a glimpse of him on one of Stans videos, just in the background...he said, "So I can sue Stan then?" and then laughed.

If anyone is thinking of booking Randy, do it! I felt that comfortable with him, and I haven't even seen the pics yet! We also talked to him about another post wedding photo shoot at Port Orleans Riverside with our wedding attire....a kind of Disney wedding portrait without actually getting married there....he said that was a great idea, and to call and set it up when we were ready!

Anyway, I just wanted to share our experience, and I'll post the link to my pics when they are up...unless someone checks his picture website and sees them before I do...then let me know!!

We'retaking photos at the yacht and beach club too (along with the Wilderness lodge and poly) so I can't wait to see ours! I know what Randy looks like too and I have never seen him!

thanks for sharing that, I'm sure it will make many of Randy's brides-to-be feel even more comfortable about their choice of photographer (including me!) I can't wait to see your photo's too. awww, I hope my DF says those types of things to me while we are getting our photos taken. Maybe I should just tell him ahead of time to tell me I"m beautiful so at least I know he'll do it! haha!

thanks for this post... I'm a little nervous about having professional photos taken too because I don't like being the center of attention and just have never done it before but randy sounds like a doll so you're making me feel much more at ease about it! thanks!

YAY-- here I am again-- chiming in on all of Randys threads!

Dont you just LOVE him? I think he has such a charming photographer's personality that puts you at ease the moment you meet him! His work is phenomenal and I know once you see his photos you will agree! I absolutely adore him and am probobly his biggest fan! DH has already said once we have kids we will take them there to get photos.... because its worth the distance for him to capture it!

Im so glad you feel confident in both your money spent and your photography session! Please post the link when it becomes available we would love to see it!
