I wanted to post a few pictures of our engagement photo guest book here in a separate thread for anyone thinking of doing this.

We are so excited - I took the photos Rootography shot during our planning session trip in September and created a book using Blurb.com. It's huge - 11x13, with a real dust jacket and everything!

If you have any questions about Blurb, let me know...

Here are a few (not so hot) pictures I took of the book - I posted the whole book (40 pages!) in my Planning Journal:

Woo Hoo! It looks totally awsome (<--did that sound too valley girl?? eek!) Okay I'm off to check out your PJ.

The photo book looks great. I'm going to your PJ to see more.

OMG! It looks fantastic! Do you mind telling us how much it cost, and how long it took to arrive? I'm cooking up Christmas gift ideas... :)

so this book is the same book that guests signed at your wedding?

I think its a neat idea and will look at the site, as I am curious for a friend's wedding. Another friend of mine made her own and I need to look at it again sometime.

Love it! I'm still torn between using blurb or Mypublisher, but I think your post convinced me to use Blurb!

Oh my gosh - I'm so sorry I didn't see your question in time for Christmas! :guilty:

Blurb's pricing for Large Format Landscape (10x13 inches), which is what we used, is $54.95 for up to 40 pages. That sounds like a lot of money, but it's actually WAY cheaper than any other online book service, including MyPublisher - the others charge $1 per page for more than 20 pages.

For a 10x8-inch book, prices start at $19.95 for softcover and $29.95 for hardcover for up to 40 pages.

The book took about a week and a half to arrive.

Yes! We had it out at the reception, and then my MIL passed it around at the end. We used American Crafts Slickwriters for people to sign with - they're acid free and don't bleed through. We used black at the wedding, and then when we had people sign the book at out at-home reception, we used purple so we could tell who was at which party. ;)

Blurb is cheaper and has way more modern, artistic layouts than MyPublisher. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to throw in the MyPublisher prints with very strong red tones (so you may want to color correct for this before printing anything with them). I did a vacation book through them and was not happy with the quality of the printing at all, there were even some pixilation issues which I can guarantee were not from my end.

I currently have a Blurb book on the go and am hopeful they will be better. I've only heard good reviews!
