I just finished making all my Dining PS's for our December trip. I have so far been unable to secure CRT for breakfast, but will keep trying for a cancellation.

Also a disclaimer: I realize that every morning listed is a character breakfast, then we have a dinner planned. Before any of you scream, let me explain. We prefer to eat a substantial breakfast, and dinner and skip lunch (or eat fruit, Mickey Bar(HA) etc). while on vacation. (At home I barely eat breakfast LOL). But I digress. Also, we thought that this would make it easier for DD to see most of the characters without having to track them down in the parks. So here we go...let me know what you think about the restaurants.

Friday Dec 3 drive to Florida (leave at noon)unsure about dinner, just depends on where we are. Going to gauge DD tolerance as we go.

Sat Dec 4 Definitely at WDW
no breakfast or lunch plans
Dinner HDDR 5:00 show. will probably do the campfire or hayride afterwards

Sun Dec 5 MK and MVMCP
Breakfast at Crystal Palace
Dinner at 1900 Park Faire with Cinderella before the party

Monday Dec. 6 Animal Kingdom/EPCOT
Donalds Breakfastasauras
Dinner at Coral Reef

Tuesday Dec. 7 MGM
Chef Mickey's for breakfast
Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose

Wednesday Dec. 8 EPCOT/MK ????
1900 Park Faire breakfast
Dinner???? We have not decided where we will spend most of this day. We really just plan to wing it.

Thursday Dec. 9 departure day

Any comments about the restaurant choices are welcome. Also suggestions for our open dinners would be great as well.

Thanks, Christina

Is your Coral Reef dinner part of a CP package? I think that one might be a buffet, but I don't remember for sure.

All your selections look fine to me. The only thing I might change is your Wednesday breakfast. Since you'll be at EPCOT that morning (if I'm reading your post correctly), you might consider the princess breakfast at Norway, especially since you'll already have had dinner at 1900. Unless you really like 1900 and specifically want to eat there twice.

BTW we may run into you at MVMCP, we're going the same night. However we're doing LTT. We plan on doing the princess dinner at 1900 later in the week (we'll be there for 10 days).

Actually, I tried for the Princess Storybook breakfast as well and it was all booked up.

I thought that we would do the Park Faire breakfast, since it has Mary Poppins, and possibly Alice and the Mad Hatter which are characters that we will not have seen at other character meals.

As for Coral Reef, we are just planning to do that because my DH really likes the restaurant and DD is into undersea stuff. We actually thought that we would try to wing the CP. That way we could order whatever we wanted off the menu with no limitations.

Maybe we will see you guys at MVMCP.

Thanks for your reply.

Seems like a very busy trip itinerary for a 2 1/2 yr old. You may want to slow down a bit and make sure to take a break every afternoon.

She actually gets up pretty early and we are planning to go back to CBR to take a break every afternoon. That is another reason that we planned sit down meals. We don't like to eat a lot of fast food and she is used to going to restaurants to eat. We feel like we will be able to ensure that she eats healthier by eating sit down meals. But overall, we will be gauging her demeanor each day to decide what we want to do. Since we did not get CRT yet, nothing is guaranteed with a credit card but HDDR and FDP, so otherwise I can just cancel at the moment.

Hi,

We did the FDP with mama melrose this past may and we thought it was great.
The place seemed empty but by the time we left it was getting busy.

Looks like some good choices there. We are big fans of MM and HDDR.
Donalds wasnt our best dining experience, but many others seem to consistantly have a great meal there. So as with everything, I think everyone should try it for themselves. ;)

For your open night how about Ohana or Kona Cafe, at the Poly? They are 2 of our favorites!

I may be at the Dec 5th MVMCP too! Sounds like its the night to go. :D

Not to get to far off the subject, but what night is best for the MVMCP?

:)

I cant really answer this question as Ive never gone before, but from what Ive heard Fridays are the most crowded. You may get better replies if you ask this as a separate question on the Theme Park board. :D

We have the same breakfast plans for Tue and Wed that you do. I'm not sure of our times as someone else made our reservations.

I know that I may be in the minority, but I wouldn't be sad about missing out on the PSB in Epcot. My family has eaten at both the PSB and 1900 PF. Noone enjoyed the PSB, but the first time DS and I went to 1900 PF my DH had a business meeting at that time and DS insisted that we go back again so he could go. The Mad Hatter was the most fun, of any character we have ever encountered. You get alot more 1 on 1 time at 1900 PF. Have fun!

Thanks for all the advise.

Camcolt: We are actually considering trying out Ohana's for dinner that night. We have heard a lot of good reviews.

Megan's Mom: Maybe we'll see you at one of the breakfasts.

If you really want CRT, keep on trying. My sister was able to get a cancellation at 10:45pm last week, using one of the toll free numbers after trying 4-5 times a day for a week. PSB is ok also, it was better this year than last year. We loved Donald's for breakfast and Park Faire is good for dinner. By the way, I agree with you about a sit down breakfast and dinner and then snacking for lunch. Have fun with your DD, if she is used to restaurants she wil be fine at WDW. And it is definately easier when the characters come to you than having to track them down.
