Hello all I thought I would come on here and share our excitement about our upcoming trip next June.

Cast of Charachters

My wife- Laura (27), middle school french teacher. She's from Atlanta, attended Furman University in French. She completed her Master's degree in Foreign Language from The College of Charleston. She last was at WDW back in the early nineties.

Myself (30)-I (Billy) am currently in college for a degree in Hospitality and Tourism. I want to become a Travel Agent. I have been a Store Manager for Gamestop. I was also in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years. My last trip was in '04. I am currently from New Jersey. I am a Army brat so I've lived in diffrent places growing up.

Well our story begins about two years when I first met my wife. I had just gone through a bad break-up after a two year relationship. I had been feeling pretty low and was trying to find anything to make sense or even just help me through the situation. Then I discovered Myspace. Well long story short i met Laura and after a couple of months talking back and forth off and on and one rebound relationship for me and couple of dates for her, we decided to meet. Well our first date was dinner with some of my friends and she just fit right in. Well that was it and after that we have been together ever since. Like I said in her bio she is from Atlanta, but what i didn't tell you is that she is a twin. Well I know everything that twins go through. Even though thet are seperated by 5 hours they can still buy the same clothes without telling each other(uncanny, lol).

Well in January I decided I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. Well long story short she said yes, her mom went nuts, and we had a fantastic wedding and honeymoon(cruise in the caribbean on Royal Caribbean). Then about a month ago we were sitting around watching T.V. and I said to her hey hun ya wanna go to DisneyWorld next year and she said sure. So I began looking into it and a couple of weeks ago and decided we would do the first two days at Universal Studios and the next 9 days at Disney. We went through AAA and got a great deal. We are letting them handle the logistics so we can relax a bit with that. We are gonna in June from the 10th til the 21st.

We are staying at the Country Hospitality on Universal Blvd from the 10th til the 12th. We will be going to Universal for two days. We are gonna go with the 2 day/2 park pass (is meal deal worth the price?). I would rather save the best for last. Don't get me wrong Universal is a blast, but its not quite Disney. Then we will be heading to All-Star movies for the rest of the trip. We will using the deluxe dining plan. We also want to go to Cirque Du Soleil (as I never been and she has been to a few). Well that's it for now. I will updaet soon when we decide on the resturaunts we want and what park, what day. Bye for now.

Subbing....so I can read when you have an update.
Have a great time planning. There is so much info on here to help plan a great trip.... without the wonderful Dis'ers on here I wouldn't know as much as I do about the wonderful magical things that go on in DW.

I know what ya mean. I've had so many questions about Dining Plan and everyone has giving me some great tips. I also love the podcast!!!

I have yet to listen to the pod casts.
Have you any ideas for what restaurants you would like to try?
I will be curious to know how your stay at Universal goes as we want to try that next time around.
I just got my AAA Disney Packet and it has some perks in it that will also come in handy.

We are decided what resturants slowly. We defintly wanna do T-Rex, California Grill, Le Cellier, Rainforest Cafe. So far. Yea Universal is great. Great rides and almost on par with Disney service. I would recommend it.

We've been to Universal in past years but it has been quite awhile ago and I have heard it has changed so much.

Have you tried looking on the resturaunts forum they have a great post on there that not only has reviews but pictures of the food, it was a great help in deciding our ADR's.

We've decided to try out
1.Biergarten
2.Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
3.Sci-Fi Dine In (for dinner)
4.Crystal Palace (for breakfast)
5. Whispering Canyon(for Dinner)
6.Planet Hollywood
7. Flame Tree BBQ
8.T-Rex (if we can get in they are not taking ressie's )
9. Earl of Sandwiches
10.Wolfgang Pucks Express

And many of the snack and counter services through out the parks just to sample certain things such as school bread...dolewhips...
Mickey's rice crispy treats...and the pretzel rods that you can make any way you want.

What ever you decide just enjoy and have fun.

From your list, we have tried and can recommend:
-Boatwrights (It doesn't seem to get fab reviews here for whatever reason, but we ate there, the food was delicious and plentiful, and we had good service. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.)
-Beaches and Cream - we have only eaten dessert there which I can STRONGLY recommend! :)
-Chef Mickey's - It was fun, and I am glad we did it. However, that's one we probably won't do again. I didn't really care for the atmosphere. I felt "exposed." LOL! I think I like the walls to my restaurant to be a little nearer to me!
-Cosmic Ray's - we just like it. It's not 5-star dining, and it's nuts if you go around noon (like no seating, and VERY long lines). The food is good, there is a wide variety of options to choose from. We have eaten at other locations around MK, but we really prefer here or Columbia Harbor House.
-Flame Tree - this is the one place we have eaten at every trip we have made. The food is good, plentiful, and the atmosphere is wonderful! Dining under the trees or next to the "lake" with EE in site...it's just a nice, restful stop in the middle of the day. We have also eaten at Tusker House, but none of us liked it. It wasn't that the food was bad, or anything like that....but it wasn't as plentiful, and it felt like cafeteria food to us. In addition, we ended up seated at the patio outside in the sun. It just wasn't our cup of tea.

The one character meal we really enjoyed and will go back to again is Crystal Palace.

Well I called my Travel Agent today to see if we could knock off a couple of hundred dollars because of this whole new 4 days, 3 days free deal. Well she called me back and yes good news, Thank-You Disney!!!!!!!

I am going to move you over to our pre-trip boards.
I'm sure you will find other people going at the same time.
