Early Entry Day!

We were all up and out of the room by 6:22 am... at the gates by 6:40 am, in the park by 7:01 am!! (We skipped bkfst for now.)

Space Mountain was not open so over to AstroBlasters. Then rode Astro Orbiters at DS's request (even though it wasn't on on the A or B list.... see, I'm not commando!!)

Frontierland and Adventureland didn't open until 8 am... Autopia not open until 8 am, so back to AStroBlasters for the guys. DD and I went to Fantasyland. She rode the Teacups (makes me ill, so I just watched) and then I talked her into riding Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (it was on the B or C list). Probably wasn't worth the time in line (about 10 minutes).

Then we met back up with the guys and waited for the rope drop in Frontierland. (DH got run over by an ECV... he was mad!) POTC not open yet so over to BTMRR (8:03am). It opened about 8:05am... we were about 30th in line. Then back over to POTC to ride. The kid's didn't love it. And took a walk through Tarzan's Treehouse (YAWN!).

We took a bkfst break at River Belle Terrace. Mickey pancakes and chocolate milk for the kids, "Mark Twain" (eggs, potatoes, sausage, biscuit) for me, and "Steamboat" (pancakes, eggs, bacon) for DH. Also got a cinnamon roll (to share, but DH got most of it) and coffee for the aduls. Total was $40.46....YIKES! But it was good and we ate everything!

We checked the FP return time for Splash... it was 10:15 - 11:15 am.... still too early. Got an autograph with Brer Bear.

Space Mountain still not open, no FP's. Saw Buzz Lightyear at Club Buzz.... got photos and autographs.

Into Autopia standby line at 9:50 am (45 minute wait posted). Actual wait time 20 minutes. YAWN, but the kids really like it. Then I dashed to Splash Mtn to get FP's. Return time was 12:35 - 1:35 pm... PERFECT! Family rode AStroBlasters while I did this.

Then all of us over to Toontown specifically to see Mickey. He was wearing his Fantasia outfit, so DD and I were excited. We've never managed to see this at MGM!

Kids spent a few minutes on Donald's Boat and then in line at 11:30 for the 11:45 am Snow White show. Ice cream snacks while we watched show. DH and I both almost dozed off during show. Cute, but not great (IMHO, of course).

After the show on our way to Splash we saw the 7 Dwarves! We manged to get autographs with 2, but it was utter chaos!! We were in line for Dopey and he just up and moved away to another spot!!

We checked Space Mtn and saw that the wait time was 85 minutes! Over to Splash to use our FP's. We had to wait over 15 minutes due to the ride being down for technical difficulties. Great ride, we bought the photo! We got Donald's autograph on Main Street on our way out of the park.

McDonald's for lunch ( :crazy2: again) at 2pm. At the pool by 2:45 pm. Down for naps by 3:30pm.

Mom up at 4:15. Everyone else up and moving slowly about 4:45pm. Back into the park by 5:30pm. We waited at the train station to ride the train. About a 15-20 minute wait. We got as far as Tomorrowland and decided not to make it a round trip. Got FP's for AstroBlasters (AGAIN!!) and the guys got in the standby line. DD and I got a parade spot and got some hotdogs for dinner at the Corner Cafe. We were sitting on the left side of Main Street, right before it turns the corner in to the hub area.(We wanted to be there to be able to head over to Splash Mtn quickly, without getting caught in the post-parade crowd.) We were noticing a sewer gas smell.

The guys ducked out of line at AstroBlasters, as it was moving too slow. They came to meet us at our parade spot. They got hot dogs also. Things were getting very crowded! It is amazing how people can be! Anyhow, the sewer smell was too much for DH. He walked over to Frontierland entrance, saying he would meet us after the parade.

After Splash we tried to get a spot for the 9 pm Fantasmic but there was nothing left! We did get a spot behind a bank of light (right behind where the control panel/control crew sits), but we knew it would be a partially blocked view, at best, so after holding our spot for about 20 minutes, we decided to wait for the 10:30 pm show. DH was tired though, so he wasn't going to stay with us.

We walked to Tomorrowland to use our FP's for AstroBlasters (OH MY GOSH, not again!! :rotfl: ), but it was down. The park was getting really crowded due to the 9:25pm fireworks and the 9pm Fantasmic show. We knew by 8:45 pm or so we wouldn't be able to move around much, so we walked through Fantasyland over to Frontierland and rode BTMRR three times! It's pretty cool in the dark... plus the fireworks were overhead!

Then DH left us to go back to the hotel to sleep and the kids and I got a great spot for the 10:30 pm Fantasmic. The kids "held" our spot while I ran to get snacks (it seems like we just kept eating, doesn't it??). Popcorn and Churros, soda and water. At about 10:25 they announced the the Fantasmic show was going to be delayed. It finally started close to 10:40pm. It was good... different than WDW, not necessarily better. But neat because it was so much closer than the WDW one.

We stopped at the Shooting Gallery on the way out, as DS had been begging to try it. We said a sad good-bye to the castle, just in case we didn't make it back into DL in the morning. Close to midnight before the kids hit their pillows! Tomorrow... DCA!.............P

I love hearing your adventures. we are heading there in 11 days and I can't wait to hear the rest of your report.

What did you do the 1st couple days before you headed to Disney??? We are doing other things in the area and wanted some insite on those too :goodvibes

Actually, our adventure began in New Mexico with a family wedding.... then we drove to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, and then Anaheim. We really didn't see anything of Anaheim other than DLR, the HoJo, McDonald's and then the airport!! Sorry I can't be of more help!.........P
