Our Disney Store closed!

Dd and I just happened to go to the mall today and found out our Disney Store was closing today! I know the economy stinks, but I am so bummed, are them a lot of them closing? They did have a sign up to visit them online.

(Unfortunately, all the good stuff was gone, too, I only got a couple of boys belts!)

One of the ones near us is closing too. I didn't know it until I went today looking for matching T-Shirts for our upcoming trip. The entire store is on clearance. There was not much left either. Mostly plush stuff and a few items of clothing too. This store is in Thousand Oaks, CA

There is another one near us too in Northridge, CA that is not closing per the employee.... Hopefully can hit that one prior to our trip....

Yes, about half of them are closing. The Disney Company bought them back from the Children's Place (who are having their own issues). The ones they kept will now be owned by the Disney Company, the ones they choose not to re-purchase are closing or already closed. There was a list of the closing stores on an earlier thread. We have 3 stores closing in our area and no store close anymore. The closest store to us is more than a one-hour drive now. A drive I don't intend to make. I believe there are about 100 stores closing.
