50's Prime Time- we went there over Christmas week 2007 and thought it was great! Depending on your waiter/waitress and how 'into it' they are, you could be in for a great meal! The food is very home-style, such as onion rings (gigantic ones, too!), I think fried chicken- it just made me feel very diner or mom's southern home cooking like...
Crystal Palace- been there for breakfast, this year we're trying it for dinner. Great character interaction. Watch the character's path as they get closer and closer to your table- make sure you are at your table when they're only 1-2 tables away or you could miss them, then it's like 45 minutes or so until they'll come back around- DON'T MISS THEM! Food was good for breakfast- Enjoy!
Tusker House Breakfast- This was so absolutely great! We went for the first time last year over
free dining and we had a ball! The atmosphere is great, the food was awesome, and the characters were the coolest! They came around and did a little dance around the dining room with the kids- and we were in a sort of smaller dining room (first one when you walk into the restaurant on your left), so I didn't feel as though she was walking across the entire building or anything scary like that!
Chef Mickey's- I have only done once, and it was for dinner. The food was fair- nothing over the top and taking your breath away or anything. The character interaction seemed faster (less time) and a little more rushed at this restaurant. It was nice because the food was something DD4 will eat (and of course the rest of us, too), and we get to see characters, but don't go if your main focus is spending time with characters, or if you're looking for over-the-top fantastic food. Not knocking it- heck, I'm going back this year- but it's nothing extraordinary, or it wasn't on our visit anyways...
Le Cellier- I am totally psyched- we're going to try this for the first time this year. I've heard fantastic things about the food, so I think you and I have made a great choice with this one!
