We (myself, my mom, and my fiance Colin) just returned from our trip to the World, May 17-20. Here's where we ate and what we thought of the food and the service:

'Ohana for dinner: The salad with honey-lime dressing was delicious, as were the wontons. The meat was all very flavorful, but I did have a few pieces of turkey that had some fatty parts. The pork was oustanding! Colin had a white chocolate mousse dessert, which was delicious as well. Our server was a little slow, but was still polite. I will eat here again (it’s a tradition for my family, though I think the food and service have slipped a little—not a lot, just a little—in the past few trips). Food: B+ Service: C

Le Cellier for lunch: This was by far our favorite meal of the trip. Colin had the cappuccino freeze iced drink, which he thought was delicious if you like coffee. We shared a bowl of the incredible Canadian Cheddar Cheese soup—it is outstanding, especially when you dipped the pretzel bread stick in it (I thought it would be heavy and too rich, but it was light and flavorful, yet filling too)! My mom had the Toronto Chicken Sandwich, which she said was wonderful. I had the Grilled Steak Burger, which was also wonderful. We both loved the buns that they served the sandwiches on (they were similar to an English muffin, but more dense and without the crannies). The fries that accompanied the sandwich were also great. Colin had the French Dip sandwich, which he loved. Our server (Megan) was terrific! She was very attentive, super friendly, and really made us feel like we were at WDW. Hooray for Megan! We can’t wait to eat here again! Food: A+ Service: A++

Kona Café for dinner: Their foccacia bread is delicious. Colin and my mom had the crab cake appetizers, and they thought the crab cakes were good, but not great. My mom also had a Kona Salad, which she enjoyed. I had the Pan Asian Pasta with chicken, which was delicious and flavorful. Colin had the teriyaki beef, which he thought was good. Unfortunately, the restaurant was freezing cold and we were also full, so we didn’t get to have any of their yummy desserts. Our server was friendly and prompt, but not super outstanding. I will eat here again (especially when I have room for dessert). Food: B Service: B+

Concourse Steakhouse for breakfast: This was a very nice, relaxing place to have breakfast. I thought it might be loud since Chef Mickey’s is nearby, but I only noticed noise from that direction once during our meal, and it wasn’t too bothersome for me at all. I had the Chef’s Madness with the Magic Kingdom Express. The scrambled eggs were great, and the breakfast potatoes were quite good. Of course, the mini Sticky Mickey’s were so delicious! Yum! Colin and my mom both had the Steakhouse Trio, which they both thought was great. My mom said the silver dollar pancakes were especially good. Our server was polite and very friendly. I will definitely eat here again. Food: A Service: A

Beach Club room service for dinner: The room service server was super friendly, and the food came on time, or maybe a little early from what they had estimated when we placed our order. I had the Yacht Club sandwich, which was delicious. I also had fries with it, which were pretty typical. My mom had a house salad, which they seemed to have left all the toppings except cucumber off of. She liked the dressing, but the salad was a little plain for her. She and Colin shared a sausage pizza (I also tasted it), which they thought was good, but not great. I thought it was quite good, but still not great. I still think it’s a neat experience to have room service, and I would gladly do it again. Food: B Service: A

Thanks for posting Elisabeth. We still have never tried 'Ohana despite our many trips to the Polynesian.

Thanks for posting your reviews, they were very good. After reading your breakfast review for Concourse Steakhouse we are thinking about eating breakfast here on our next trip.

Thanks for the reviews! Your breakfast at the Concourse sounds yummy. Can you tell me what the Chef’s Madness and the Steakhouse Trio are?

Thanks, again!

Pat

Sounds like you had some good meals. Le Cellier is one of my favorites, also. Breakfast at the Concourse sounds really good.
