Here are our dining reviews from our trip to the World last week. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Earl of Sandwich for dinner (Downtown Disney) We have enjoyed this quick restaurant several times before, and this time was no disappointment. I had my favoritethe All American. It was flavorful and delicious as usual. My husband had the Earls Club, which he liked very much. I think this restaurant is a real bargain with very tasty food. Its not gourmet or anything like that, but it is tasty and filling. We will definitely return. Food: A Service: N/A
Boma for breakfast (Animal Kingdom Lodge) I have eaten here before, but my husband had not, so I was looking forward to taking him here. I noticed a couple of small changesthe foods were labeled with more generic names (which Im guessing is designed to help guests not have to ask what things are) and the waitress referred to the Frunch drunk as African fruit juice. I thought that was a little odd, since it takes away just a tiny bit from the exotic experience of it. The food was delicious as usual. Our made to order omelets were yummy, but a bit too cheesy. All of the bread items (scones, banana bread, pecan sticky rolls, etc.) were delicious. We enjoyed our meal a great deal, and we will happily return here. Our server was very nice, but a bit slow. Food: A- Service: B-
Rainforest Café for lunch (Animal Kingdom) This restaurant often gets bad reviews on this site, but RFC is a favorite of ours. Generally speaking, we prefer the Downtown Disney location since we have experiences pretty slow service at the AK location in the past. This time our service was prompt and friendly, and the food was quite good. I had the Bambas BBQ wrap with chicken, and it was flavorful and tender. This is my favorite item on their menu. My husband had his old faithful menu item as wellthe Flying Dragon Pepperoni Pizza. He just loves pizza, and this is one of his favorites since its served on thin crust and has lots of flavor. Though the restaurant is a bit loud during the thunderstorms, we think its a nice break on a hot day. Even though it often gets bad reviews, we plan to return here for sure.

Yakitori House for dinner (Japan Pavilion in Epcot) This counter service restaurant seems to get pretty good reviews both on this site and in guidebooks. Unfortunately that was not our experience at all. We waited in a long line to get served (they seemed to only be operating one register), but we werent too bothered by it. However, our food was awful, and I dont say that lightly. I had the chicken teriyaki, and my husband had the Shogun combination with chicken and beef. My chicken had lots of fat on it, and was tough and gross. Also, it didnt seem that the chicken was cooked in the teriyaki sauce, but rather that they had poured the sauce on top of boiled chicken. I could only eat the steamed rice. My husbands chicken wasnt as gross, but he said the beef looked really strange and wouldnt try it. We literally had to throw our meals away. Ive never given an F to a Disney restaurant before, but his one deserved it based on our experience. We will never return here. Food: F Service: N/A
Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch (Magic Kingdom) We have found that eating lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern provides a nice, quiet rest from the hustle and bustle of the Magic Kingdom. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing, delicious meal here. We did notice one changethe delicious rolls with honey butter that they used to serve at both lunch and dinner are now only served at dinner. Bummer! I had my favorite itemthe Colony Salad. It was crisp and flavorful, and is a hearty size. I love the vinaigrette they use (honey shallot vinaigrette). My husband had one of his new favorite food items at WDWthe New England Pot Roast. He said the meat was so tender, and the flavor was wonderful. The pot roast is served on a bed of mashed potatoes that were outstanding. Our server, Patty, was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Since there are no characters at lunch, we enjoy the peace and quiet this restaurant offers. We loved our meal and will definitely return. Food: A+ Service: A
Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner (Magic Kingdom) This is typically our only character meal each trip, and it was for this trip as well. I believe the characters were taking a break when we arrived, as we did not see any for the first 10-15 minutes. After that they came around quickly and frequently. While the characters were friendly, it seemed like they didnt know how to interact with two adults as well as with families, which is understandable. We did crack up when Pluto licked a guy at the table next to us bald head over and over. It was hysterical! While the food was still pretty tasty, I thought the quality had slipped a little since our last visit last December. The meats and dressing were excellent, but I found the mac & cheese to be too cheesy, and the mashed potatoes were over-whipped for my taste. The dessert cobbler is a nice end to the meal. Our server was a little bit slow, and she seemed a little harried from dealing with a large table in addition to ours. We will return here, but I hope the quality improves a bit to what I remember from the past. Food: B- Service: B
Riverside Mill Food Court for dinner (Port Orleans Riverside) We were expecting a mediocre meal since the resort food courts arent known for fantastic food offerings. We were pleasantly surprised! We both had the chicken quesadilla, and it was excellent! The chicken was flavorful, and I like whatever they had marinated it in. We also got some fresh grapes to go with it, which really hit the spot. While we wouldnt make a special trip to this resort to eat at their food court, we would definitely eat here again when staying at POR or POFQ. Food: A Service: N/A
Kona Café for lunch (Polynesian) I have eaten here for both breakfast and dinner, but never for lunch. My husband and I both had excellent entrees, and the desserts were even more wonderful. I had my favorite entrée (also served at dinner), the Pan-Asian Pasta. I love the flavors of this dish. My husband had the BBQ Pork Sandwich, which he enjoyed very much. I tasted his BBQ and thought it was excellent as well. For dessert my husband had a chocolate lava cake, which he enjoyed. It was very rich, so he couldnt quite finish it. I had a passion fruit mousse with strawberry center, which was truly wonderful. It was light and airy, perfect for a hot day. The mousse was flavorful, and I ate it all smiling with each bite, LOL. Our server was friendly, but a little bit slow (the restaurant seemed to get super busy right after we got there with a large group of business travelers). We will definitely be back to Kona Café. I still did like the flavor of my chicken though, sorry you didn't have such a good experience.
