Our days are getting shorter!

It was vert dark at 6:00am this morning, and pitch black by 8:00 pm. Guess it's that time of year!

I noticed that, too! I feel like we kind of missed out on summer this year -- just a bunch of different things going on -- so I'm a little sad, but I love autumn. Guess there's always next summer!

Yeah, I've noticed it, too . At 4 pm it looks like it's 6 pm. Even some of the trees are starting to turn (there's a certain type of tree that turns in August). I like it when the days are longer.

I actually don't mind the days getting shorter. Most people think I'm weird but I don't even mind it in the winter when it's dark by 5:00. I love to just snuggle in, light candles, pop popcorn, cuddle and watch a movie with DH, or curl up on the couch with a good book and a cup of coffee.

Now if I had to leave for work in the dark and drive home from work in the dark, that might be kind of depressing.

I notice it most in the morning because its now dark when I get up.

It is full light by 6:00 am here still and doesn't get dark until about 8;45 but considering summers here are light at 5:00 and stay light until after 10:00 it is noticeable.

We have FINALLY gotten a break from the 110 heat and humidity too . High today predicted at 77

there are points in the summer where we realy only get about 6 hours per day of what i consider total darkness, but i guess it balances out against what the late fall and winter months are like- when my kids go to school it's in the dark (bus picks up just after 7 am) and when i pick them up at the bus stop at 4 it's dark again.

Since 6/21 they have been getting 1 min shorter per day until 12/21. Not looking forward to dark short days.

I've noticed it too
I've also noticed the leaves losing a little of their bright green color.

These are the days my mom used to say "summer's getting tired", when you notice the signs of the season coming to a close.
I really am enjoying this summer, so I'll be sad that it's coming to an end.

It definitely feels like summer is over here too. We had a heat wave last week and now, like last night, our overnight low was 13C which is 55F. I personally hate summer and can't wait for fall.
