We rented a "Day Room" at Atlantis October 11th and thought we would share our day with you. Yes, you can rent a day room at Atlantis on a first come first served basis, for $150.00 plus tax and resort fees. Total room charges around $183.00. Let me first tell you that we had originally booked a room at Comfort Suites for a AAA rates of $187.00 without taxes or resort fees. We knew if we arrived and it was raining, we would be out all of our money. We decided to call Atlantis directly and ask if we could rent a room for the day. We were told to come and inquire about a room first thing the day we arrived. We were off the Ship around 9:30 and headed for Atlantis. We went to the check-in counter and asked about a day room. We were told to go to the house phone and dial O, then ask for a "day room". They will tell you if they have a room available then. We were given our room keys and were able to go right to our room then. We changed our clothes and locked our valuables in the room safe. We also had brought our own lunch with us, and left it in the room. Let me tell you there is a LOT of walking at Atlantis. We walked all over the Resort. Our room was as far as you could get from the main pools. My Hubby, Niece and Nephew all went down the water slides. I enjoyed just sitting in the cool water. There are many different pools to choose from, as well as lots of places to sit. The beach also offers many things to do such as parasailing, waverunners, as well as hair braiding booths. We enjoyed swimming and walking around for a few hours. The kids were hot, tired, and hungry, so we went back to our room and all took showers. They have a small bottle of shampoo and conditioner, as well as a hair dryer. We ate our lunch in the room and let the kids relax and watch cartoons. Hubby and I went to the casino for about an hour and won about $400.00. All in all we had a great day. The kids had fun, but were tired out. They were ready to go back to the Ship. One thing I forgot to mention was that the room rate was good for up to 5 people. I have picture's of our day at the link below. I will be glad to answer any questions.
