Our Dancing Banana Countdown to our 2nd Disney Trip.......

This pre trip report will be done by me ...aka Mom and my daughter who is 7, you will see a lot of these as these are her favorite part of the Dis Boards.

We are currently at 63 days and counting. This will be our 2nd trip to WDW. Our first trip was in November of 2006. We went for thanksgiving. That time we were there for 6 days. We learned this time we will be there for 9 .

This trip was previously scheduled for last November, but when we had to move suddenly and unexpectedly, I post poned the trip.

Actually this trip has had several dates. My daughter, got sick earlier this year and I had the travel agent on stand-by, to change the date at a moments notice. Well after several months and a lot of tests it was decided that she was lactose intolerent and was having growing pains..... so after a lot of worrying of things far more serious, she is back to her old self and doing great. So our trip stands for November.

Son 17....not at all interested in any of the pretrip planning ....but cant wait to go back......just dont bother him with the details.

So our plans for travel......

are we flying.......nope

are we driving ........nope

are we walking......... DD says "No WAY!"

so how are we getting there .....

by train.

This is how we traveled last time too. DS would prefer us to fly........but since I have a little .......ok .....big fear of flying....not gonna happen.

I love trains and it is a very relaxing way to travel.....it takes us 24 hours and we get to see alot of our country this way.

We will have a towncar pick us up at the station and take us to the ASMu. Orginally when I booked this trip, I went with the Dining plan.......and then I up us to the Deluxe dining plan.......then i realized how much time we would be sitting in resturants ....... so back down to the Regular Dining Plan. And very happily paid off the trip a few weeks ago. Well Last week, I wole up and checked my email before heading in the shower and low and behold there was an email with a pin for free dining

AND it was good for the first part of the trip. So here i am, the only one awake at 5AM and running around all excited, so what do i do ...... well i call the travel agency and leave a message stating i realize you are still sleeping but would you call me i got a pin code and may need to make a change. Well since the travel agency doesnt open till 9. I had hours to wait. Well all of a sudden i realize Disney travel opens at 7, and it is now 7:10. So i call them well i was prepared to book this a two seperate stays if need be to get the free dining for those days, well he tells me i can have it for all of the trip .

So I was at work, trying to get something down but was just too excited.....

We when the travel agent hadnt called me by 9:05 , I called again. She said she would see what she could do. Well She calls back......And i get the free dining for the whole trip....so disney is sending be back a check for the amount i have already paid for dining

As the plans for this trip were made last year, we we unare of what matts school schedule would be. He is a senior so he was given a few thing he had to before we left or we were going with out him.

1. Must be passing all courses.
2. Must have college applications out.
3 Must get his senior english term paper handed in.

He is very bright but really doesnt like to do home work, he often has 100 test average and 0 homework average......... some day he will figure this out.

well so far he is passing everthing. And this past Monday he sumbited his college application, he applied early decision, so he only sent one. He should know before we leave.

His paper he is working on research for right now.

We have had many volunteers willing to fill his spot, if he is unable to go.....from his friends.....to the school principal.

He wont read any of this because he doesnt have any interest in any of the planing. Try to tell him any thing ........... and he justs says whatever His only has 2 requests

1. is to dine at Beirgarten
2 not to make him dine in the Castle..... I dont think he would even want to stay if we won the castle stay........ we can dream cant we.

Sounds like fun. I just started a pre trip report as well. It's so exciting isn't it. My trip is still 5 months away, but we've been planning this since April so it actually feels very close to me.
