I'm not real good with the trip reports but I'll give it a shot:

Travellers: Me, DH, DS (8), DD (15 months), and a friend of the family.

Left NJ 12/21 @ 5 am. Stopped overnight in Pooler GA, stayed at Travel Lodge Suites. OK hotel for one night. Would never stay longer!

Arrived at CBR at 3:15 on Sunday! We all cheered, I don't know if it's because we got to Disney or because we knew we didn't have to see the car anymore until we left! We stayed in Barbados in building 11. Loved our rooms (our friend was upgraded from All Star sports and had a connecting room), loved the resort, loved the walk to the food court. It was just beatiful. The Christmas decorations were different but by the end of the trip, I was in love with them.

Sunday night we did Fulton's Crab House in DD. It was ok, it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. My DH and I shared the Seafood Platter for two which had crab legs, lobster and hashbrowns and Creamed spinach. My DS just had a cheeseburger and New England Clam Chowder. With drinks and all everything came to $113+ tip. Definitely overpriced.

Monday we did AK in the morning. Did Safari, saw the acrobats by the bar that is by the Safari, right next to Tusker House. Later we saw the drummers, right across from Tusker House. My DS got to be one of the dancers with them. We ate a Pizzafari which was pretty good. Love those Parmesan breadsticks. Yum! After lunch we walked outside and sat down to wait for the Jammin Jungle Parade. It was the best parade we saw all week. I loved it.

Later on we went back to the hotel to rest and DH decided to stay in with the baby. He had knee surgery a week before we went so he wanted to rest his leg. Riding on the scooter all day he was stiff. The rest of us headed over to Epcot to see Illuminations. It was nice but when we got back, we found out that DH had went right outside the room and saw the fireworks part. I was glad he didn't miss this.

This is getting long, so I'm going to start a new thread for the next couple of days.

I'd like to stay at CBR someday, I tried to book it for my trip in February but it was sold out for my dates :(

I got to dance with the drummers at AK too, but I'll bet your ds was better at that than I was :D

Thanks for sharing your day at AK with us, I had fun reading about it. I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of your trip.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

I was sort of considering Fulton's for our next trip, but have always been unsure, considering the mixed reviews I have read. I just don't know what to do!

Sounds like a great trip, so far!

Kingdom too......I am anxious to see the new Parade.....this sounds like it is one of Disney's best......thanks again for the report

Great start to your reports! :)

Sounds like a fun couple of days. :) I leave in 5 days and I can't wait to see the new parade at the AK. It seems like a real winner!
