We did not go back to the hotel to shower and change before dinner.

What was the temperature again???

We took the bus directly to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I bet the other people on the bus were thankful you hadn't showered first!!

We got a little lost but ended up early for our Dinner reservation at BOMA A Taste of Africa.

Did they smell you coming???

Africa!? What do they EAT in Africa. Hope it’s nothing weird or Fear Factorish!

I think it's Yak butt. Pretty sure!!

I gave my baby girl 2 of them before we realized it was ALCOHOL!!!!! Probably not enough to harm her, hopefully. But she was REALLY good after that!

Now THAT'S mad parenting skillz!!!

I didn’t care for the pork ribs because they were too spicy.Grow hair on your chest, spicy!

I'll not be needing that, thanks!!!

So I grabbed my refillable mug and dashed to the front desk with plans of filling my "muggy" on the way back.

You know this are refillable for life, right??

For some reason, the other diners find it odd we take pictures of our tantruming toddler. We do it because, a) it instantly shuts her up , and 2) we show her the image of herself which makes her laugh c) causing the other diners to high five each other and marvel at our parenting expertise! Or something like that.

I'm not alone! The lovely tantrum image does quiet them down nicely. Below is a shot of DS so upset that he had to ride in the Buzz car behind DH, instead of in front of him. Naptime was next on the list that day, for sure.

Your TR's are wonderfully written and so darn funny. Such a great way to take a break from work. Thanks!!

We didn't, I assure you. To "hop back over to the resort to shower and change" we would have had to leave the park just before noon to make it to our dinner! I can lend you my kids and my gear and we can see how well you do. How about just the kids? I'll throw in a cranky DH to sweeten the pot! And two cats.

That's me nodding along with your description of the traveling caravan that is a stroller + acroutrements, multiple bags, and assorted other necessities when touring with kiddos. I've only got one, and I swear I have the same amount of stuff to lug around!

Loved your review of Boma! So cool that this was your next installment - after reading Gmax and others' descriptions, I just rearranged our Dec. schedule again to book Boma - and I actually got the ADR at the time I wanted! I'm all over the posing-as-a-food-critic gig; got any tips for me?!

Anyhoo - Great trippy!

I can SO relate to the whole bus thing. When our family went last Jan. we had two larger strollers and four adults (my parents went with us!). Luckily, two of us could take the girls and two of us could take the strollers but it sure was a pain and we certainly were noticed with all our gear loading and unloading. We got it down to a science after a couple of days but it sure is part of the memory involved with the trip! We went back this January with just the four of us and the same two strollers and DH and I did it by ourselves and we were PROS! PROS I tell ya!!!!! We even had one family applaud our speedy loading and unloading with two girls asleep on our shoulders and our stroller acrobatics!!

My oldest DD5 was notorious for throwing a hissy when we sat down at any restaurant any time. You could practically watch her go from this to this . So I completely feel your pain with Norah. We also took pics of our girls throwing their fits and when we look back on pics those are actually their favorites.

Twinkiemama - What a nice gift!!! You are so thoughtful!!!!

I am so jealous of your fun at Tea with the Tiaras! I have now read each and every account of it and I would love to do something like that with DISers one day. You all sounded like you had sooooo much fun and good for you all for wearing your tiaras!!!!

I think Stroller loading should be an extreme sport! The catch is the participant has to wrangle a toddler either "dead weight" asleep or tantruming! We too had a system of loading and unloading. It Is Hard!

I look at Norah sooooo sad in the pictures and I feel bad for her! But at the time, I am freaking out...inside, not visible to the naked eye! And taking a picture really helps. There's a saying: Dont get mad, get a camera!!! That time gives you a new perspective and short cool down time! Which I need a lot of.

Now, I have to go play McDonalds Monopoly!!! Maybe I'll win enough to go back to WDW! (AND get a nanny!)

Oh, my gosh, I am SO late to the party here but just wanted to say that I've spent the last couple of DAYS reading through the pre-pre-pre-trip report, the UtahMama Pre-Trip Craft Tips, the pre-trip reports, and the actual, real trip report and I've been loving every minute of it! It's been a slow week and I'm easily amused, what can I say? So, I've read 58 PAGES of posts and we're on what, Day 2? I have a feeling you're going to keep amusing me for quite awhile, UM! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful family and your trip with us. I'm looking forward to the next installment!

This would be the main reason I didn't take my first trip with the kids until my twin girls were 9 and my son was 6!

They each had a fanny pack with a water bottle (refilled when empty at water fountains) & snacks. I had the back pack with the rest of the "stuff", (which DH helped carry sometimes) and a camera.

Hands free, no hassle...worked like a charm.

Drinking a Diet Pepsi to you and your perseverance for the week with all the extra "stuff" to lug!

You must have very strong muscles!

Can't wait to read more!!!!

You are just showing off! I'll have my "day"! I know I'll miss the early years, but not for a while!

No, time out...just pissyness ALL day! Oh MAN! It's a bad, sleep deprived, spending too much money, take it out on the handiest one (the wife!!!!) full on melt down!
