Our Aussie TRs

If anyone would be willing to offer a trip report to the Australian site at Down under Disneyana I'd very gratefully post it. Trip reports are one of the most popular sections of the site (after the forum) so the more the merrier, especially if they have that Australian bent.

Here is our 2014 TR - WDW, DC, NYC, Vegas, "Adventure", LA ..... http://www.disboards.com/threads/trip-report-wdw-us-dc-nyc-vegas-la.3352027/

I think I've already got that one :thumbsup2

What sort of TRs are you after? Most of the ones that are posted here are fairly detailed multi-page style ones, posted over a number of weeks. I don't think I'm skilled enough to do a nice concise one :rotfl:

Detailed multi page ones are great. Short concise ones are great. Absolutely anything at all.

If you are not on a trip yourself then the next best thing is reading about someone else's.

We have a member posting photos of their Disney Wonder cruise to Alaska in the forum at the moment and it's making us all want to go.

I will attempt to do a TR for our trips - never done one before though. Do I need something special to add photos? Or can they be C&P straight onto the post?

You need to upload your photos to somewhere like Photobucket, then copy and paste the code from there. It's a bit fiddly - wish there was an easier way!

I use photobucket to host the photos. There are many other similar sites. Before loading the photos to photobucket I resize the image to 800 X 600 or do a bullk resize. This is for a horizontal photo, Vertical photos I tend to stay between 600 to 800 wide. As long as the ratio is kept.

In photobucket I click on copy IMG code and then paste into disboards. Can be a bit of a slow job, sometimes photobucket won't load and then if you refresh it is all there.

Shows you why facebook is so easy with loading photos direct.

If you have uploaded your photos to facebook already (as I usually do while I'm on the road), you can just import the whole album into photobucket. I find this the easiest way, and since your photos already get resized when you upload to facebook, no need to worry about resizing in photobucket. But yes, still a PITA.

The problem is I post mostly different photos on facebook to what I do here, On facebook I am mostly posting photos of the people we know or have known for many years.

Ah that little shortcut won't work for you then.
