APPETIZERS: The breads came out first. The adults thought they were ok-would have been much better warm-yet the kids couldn’t get enough! The kids ordered the cheese soup yet neither liked it. It was passed onto me-I thought it was ok. Yet the breads dipped in the cheese soup? Now that was yummy! My DSG said the Caesar Salad was very fresh with a perfect Caesar dressing. My DH and DS18 both ordered the Grilled Beef Tenderloin Kabobs which were served with roasted veggies, orzo salad & a smoked tomato coulis (puree) Melt in your mouth tender & absolutely delicious! The rest of the adults ordered the Prince Edward Island Mussels-all agreed they were out of this world! Tender mussels prepared perfectly with applewood bacon, potatoes & baby onions in a light sauce, what they call “chowder style.” Absolutely scrumptious.

ENTREES: My DGD5 ordered the 6 oz. grilled steak which came with corn. She said it was “yummy” yet I wish it had come with a potato or rice dish. My DS9, not really happy with the kid’s menus, ordered the hotdog & fries. How much can I say about a hotdog?! Yet they were both happy. 5 of the adults ordered the 14 oz. New York Strip Steak. So tender and melt in your mouth. I should have learned by now that what is medium-rare in NE is not medium-rare in Disney. So it no ones fault but my own for not ordering medium. My DH remembered-and his was cooked perfectly. This entrée came with sautéed leeks & frisee which were tender & sweet and roasted Yukon potatoes which were buttery and yummy! The veal Demi-glace was the perfect touch to make this an excellent entrée. The other entee ordered by an adult was the sauteed shrimp with oven-dried tomatoes, applewood bacon & fresh arugula tossed with linguine in a cheddar cream sauce. Very fresh with perfectly sautéed jumbo shrimp.

DESSERTS: The Crème Brulee Sampler was one maple with cinnamon whipped cream and one vanilla bean with vanilla whipped cream, both with caramelized maple sugar. DH and I both thought the vanilla crème brulee was heavenly while the maple crème brulee was just a tad too sweet for our taste, yet prepared perfectly. The flavors of the day for the house-made Duo of Sorbet were cherry & mango. They were sweet, smooth & delicious. The chocolate on chocolate whiskey cake was fabulous. I questioned the combo of chocolate, whiskey & tarragon yet it was a perfect combination of light chocolate cake with just a hint of Canadian whiskey, not overpowering at all, layered with chocolate mousse and served with a Tarragon Anglaise (custard sauce) YUM! The kids (and one adult!) ordered the Campfire S’Mores. That was a very creative and fun dessert that brought lots of smiles. There were several nonalcoholic “specialty” drinks that could be ordered as a (or instead of a) dessert, including a chocolate raspberry shake, a cappuccino freeze, a mango smoothie or a frozen daiquiri.

Bar Order: Our server graciously offered my DH a sample of the recommended wine which he was pleased with. I ordered The Le Cellier Bloody Caesar. Claimed to be a Canadian favorite, it is a blend of Iceberg Vodka, Clamato juice & a “secret” blend of seasonings. The glass was rimmed with a celery salt & black pepper blend. Definitely not for everyone but I would love one right about now!

We had a 4:20 reservation and were seated, happily at one table, within 5 minutes. Our server was Erin. I was happy to see right away that she was very laid back. Quite charming and happy to chat with each of us. We never felt rushed at anytime. She was also very knowledgeable on everything from drinks to entrees to desserts to the interesting tidbits on Canada. I was a little disappointed she did not come back for quite abit after serving our entrees to see if all was ok or if we needed anything. Luckily, all was perfect. And she only left one dessert menu-a little tough for 9 people to share one menu! Yet those two “complaints” did not take away from an incredible dining experience!

FOOD BILL: $371.61 if we had paid OOP
BAR BILL: $19.92
TOTAL BILL: $391.53

Would I go again? What time is the next flight out? ;)

Yeah! I will be at LeCellier 2 weeks from today. Thanks for the tip on ordering the steak (med-rare/med). Luckliy, I will be with a party of 6 so we can try different desserts because they all sound good.

Enjoyed reading your review ~ Thanx for sharing.

Thanks for the review. Do you remember if the mussels were a big portion or not? I'd like to order them, but I don't want to be too full to eat my steak too! :earseek:

You MUST order them! :teeth: They were just delicious! I think the portion size was perfect for an appetizer.

Great review... I've never had the mussels but I'm going to try them when we dine there in 3 weeks :sunny:

You'll be ordering the mussels at Le Cellier in 3 weeks? Oh, I am sooo jealous! Have a wonderful time!

Thanks for the review! I can't wait for Le Cellier, 4 weeks and counting! :cool1:

Thanks for the review. We'll be eating there Thanksgiving week. Those mussels and the kabobs sound yummy. I was planning on the cheese soup but I've read some reviews lately that it wasn't so good. Also, thanks for the heads up on the way they cook their meat.

The mussels and the kabobs were both simply delicious! The soup was ok but when you dip the bread in the soup? Now that was yummy! Have a great time!!

I just added some pics to this review in case anyone would like to see some of the delicious desserts from Le Celleir!
