For our dining reviews, I asked each person in my family to come up with one word to describe their “overall experience” at each restaurant. And as you will see, each of them gave their own ratings on food, atmosphere & service. Hope you enjoy our reviews! Any questions? Ask away!

Our evening at Cinderella’s Royal Table was magic. :tinker: Pure Disney magic from beginning to end. It was as though we were whisked away to a faraway place & time. When I heard “Now seating the royal jac & company…” Ok, now I was giddy. Actually giddy. In a way I thought only a 5 year old little girl can feel giddy. :goodvibes We were led up the winding staircase and into the diningroom. All was perfect... In my humble opinion, something everyone needs to experience for themselves-at least once.

Cinderella is only downstairs for taking pictures and signing autographs. Upstairs in the diningroom, The Fairy God Mother and two "girl" mice come out and perform a couple of short skits and then acknowledge "special occasions." They then flitter around the dining room only stopping for an instant to take a quick photo or two. Make sure you have your camera ready! Although it was all done in quite a flurry, it was quite enjoyable & memorable. ;)

DS18 BLT Salad, Prime Rib & Chocolate Mousse Cake ****
DSG21 BLT Salad, Prime Rib & Chocolate Mousse Cake ***

DSIL29 BLT Salad, Salmon & Chocolate Mousse Cake **
ME Corn & Crab Soup, Salmon & Raspberry Sorbet **

APPETIZERS: Everyone enjoyed the BLT salad. The corn & crab soup was excellent! :teeth: The will-anyone-notice-if-I-lick-the-bowl-clean-in-a-crowded-restaurant kind of excellent. The only appetizer offered to the kids was a fruit & cheese platter with a dipping sauce. Yet it was very fresh and plated beautifully. The kids were impressed and I enjoyed nibbling at it, too.

ENTREES: The prime rib? Everyone enjoyed it yet all agreed that what is medium-rare in New England is NOT medium-rare in WDW. (This proved to be true throughout our trip.) Next time, we will order medium. The potatoes? Ehh. The salmon and the risotto left quite a bit to be desired. From the very first bite. Yet I have learned over the years that dining is not just about the food. I think my DGD5 was too excited to even think about eating. My DS9 liked his meal yet is not crazy about the kid’s menus in general. Just happy he will be on the adult side of the dining plan for our next trip. To my surprise, my DGS2 was given his own entrée. Nothing fancy-just a “complimentary” little platter of buttered noodles. But I thought it was cool.

DESSERTS: Most of the adults ordered the chocolate mousse cake that I heard only good things about. The raspberry sorbet came with fresh fruit. The fruit was fantastic. Perfectly sweetened and refreshing. Yet the sorbet was a little too heavy and a little too sweet for my taste. Yet yummy. The only choice on the kid’s menu was the Royal Crown Sundae. A simple sundae topped with a chocolate crown. They were happy!

We were running late and arrived only 5 minutes before our 5:30 reservation. It was a bit hectic yet we never felt rushed. After a fun picture taking “session,” we only had to wait a couple of minutes before our royal family was announced and led upstairs and to our table where we were all seated together. Everything was timed perfectly. There was enough time between courses to talk & take pictures yet not enough time for anyone to get antsy. Our server was Saied. The little things he did did not go unnoticed and certainly added to the magic. The rolling of his arms as he passed you the menu. No request was forgotten. My souvenir menu was brought to me as promised. He even came to our table and switched my grandchildren’s plates when he saw that they had switched seats. The service was outstanding! :thumbsup2

PHOTO PACKAGE
Cinderella was beautiful and gracious. She and the photography crew were fantastic! They not only took our photos with care & time, they also were more than happy to allow us to take our own photos every step of the way. I was impressed, especially considering we were a party of 9 with 3 separate packages-and with three cameras and 5 autograph books! They even took the time to show me how to use my son’s fancy camera. We were given an extra little surprise-a fourth photo package of my granddaughter alone with Cinderella. Priceless. Each package included a picture of the castle and our photos, all in a cardboard "frame." The only downside was that we did not receive our lithographs. Yet we received a return phone call once home assuring us they will be sent to us. Update: As promised, our 3 lithographs arrived via FedEX a few days after we received the phone call.

TOTAL BILL: $360.95 if we had paid OOP

Would I go back? Probably not. I want to remember dinner in The Castle exactly as it was that magical evening. I have no need to go back anyway. My memories will last a lifetime. Especially if I can get that recipe for the corn & crab soup. ;)

What is a DSG? I think I figured out everyone else. Great report so far!

Thank you soooooo much for your wonderful review. I'm going to CRT in December and have been a little nervous reading the reviews. About the lithograph, did they just forget you or did no one get one?

I LOVED the way you set up your review!! Great job :thumbsup2

Excellent way to do reviews ~ Thanx for sharing.

What great reviews! I love the way you give your and your family's appreciation. I agree about not feeling the need to go back, dining in the Castle should not be an everyday thing....unles you're a princess!

If I remember correctly it's "Dear son's girlfriend"

I have been following this wonderful story.

Great review! You have just answered a big question for my DD8 who doesn't like the entry choices for kids. But she LOVES buttered noodles...we're hoping she can order that instead next week! :woohoo:

Thanks for the great review. My dbf and I will be dining there next week and I haven't seen many dinner reviews. I've had breakfast in the castle before but not since they've changed it.

I can't recall anyone else in The Castle that night leaving with a card board tube (which I was told the lithograph came in) surely that would have reminded me then & there that we did not receive ours. Yet all is well! All 3 lithographs arrived on Monday as promised. :thumbsup2 It was actually cool the way it worked out-always nice to receive something from Disney after you get back home!

Up next...Crystal Palace! ;)

I'd have to agree with you on that one Amy..It was a first time experience I dont ever want to forget. I think Cinderella's castle is some place the could be visited only once and be enough to last you a life time..Thanks again for such a great time. :sunny:

I have updated this review, adding info on The Fairy God Mother & mice as well as an update on the lithographs we did not receive at Dinner.

Thank you so much for the review. I know I've been reading a lot of mediorce-at-best reviews for CRT, (especially for the dinner,) but I am so looking foward to this on my birthday.
