Our ADR for 5 is now for 4

Our ADR for 5 is now for 4 because our dd decided she will not be joining us this trip. My question is do I need to call dining and let them know this or just wait till we get to restr. I hear so many stories about how when someone calls to make changes, dining sometimes messes up your ADR. This is a very special b- day trip for our only DGD. She is 2 years old and is very excited to get to WDW.

For any meals with a Credit Card Guarantee (California Grill/Akershus) or any meal that is prepaid (CRT or any of the 3 dining shows), yes. Otherwise you will be charged for that missing person.

Otherwise, it's up to you, though lately reports have been mostly positive.
