Sunday at the Star Wars Millionaire show (10:30) our 7 year old son made it into the hot seat !! And he got all the way to the 500000 point question before he lost....with just a little help from Dad. Just wanted to share...we're very proud! :)

Congrats!!!! You have a smart little guy there!!!!! He must have been so happy with himself:hyper:

Way to go, that is awesome! :bounce: Did they give him any kind of prize?

he won the baseball hat, the polo shirt, the 10 pins, a Star Wars action figure, a one year subscription to Star Wars Insider magazine, and a lightsaber.

I was there on Sunday and I thought the announcer was going to fall on the ground from laughing. He was in total shock that it was a 7 y/o kid that won the fastest finger. He even made the comment that the adults felt pretty dumb at that point.

Your son did a great job in the hot seat. I would have loved to see him win the 1,000,000 points. He would have had the extra life line had he have gone with his gut instinct when they asked about the canteen band member what they played.

Congratulations!!!

Good for your son!!! What a memory he will have!!! I bet he couldn't wait to tell his school buddies. You ought to see if your local paper could publish a little article and picture of him with his loot!!

Thanks for all your kind words...

yes, my son knew the cantina band member's instrument, but dear old dad wanted the lifeline. I've been teasing my husband that I could have helped Drew more.....I knew the Silas Carson question that they used a lifeline on, also. But we are very very proud of him...I never dreamed that he would get in the hot seat and then do so well!

Very cool! That show/ride/event (whatever you call it) didn't exist during our last visit...do adults usually monopolize the hot seat? That doesn't seem very fair or Disney-like - maybe they should have an adult round and then a kid's round? Although your son apparently didn't need it :teeth:

My family was there on Sunday too and saw Drew. We were enjoying ourselves. We were rooting for him to go all the way. He did very well and just think all those hours of him watching the movies over and over again do pay off. LOL

We did hear him ask the announcer if he was the youngest contestant to get that far during Star Wars Weekends and he was.

He was funny when he knew what prize he was getting (Unleashed action figure) and when he looked to see when the other prize levels were to come out.

That is so cool. Glad to hear that he received a bunch of prizes for his Awsome job.

maybe the host should be feeling pretty dumb...there are only 24 different ways to enter the fastest finger--there are like 600 people in the audience--thus 25 people will get the correct answer if everyone just randomly punches in their answer...so of course a 7 year old randomly punching in the sequence has a good chance of winning the Fastest Finger...in fact a better chance than someone who would actually try to answer it by carefully considering the question and trying to put the answers in the correct order...

Paul :wave2:

but getting to the 500,000 points is not luck...good show!

HAHAHA! OMG thats awsome. He's smarter then me! Dude, he should be really proud.::MickeyMo
