Our 30 hour trip for the Christmas Party!

Yep, you read that right. We flew from Minneapolis,Mn to Orlando on Nov. 9. Arrived around 1 pm. Hit up Disney Springs for some food and shopping. Headed back to resort, ASMovies, changed, and headed to the After hours Christmas Party! Arrived around 7 pm. Was it worth it? To us, I will say yes! We a such a great time. We went on all the rides, which were walk ons. Had plenty of free treats! Saw the fireworks, stage show and parade. Left the park around 1 am. Would we do it again, you bet we would. It was expensive, but if you were going to buy a one day ticket to MK, it would only be about 50 bucks more. We got more done in those 6 hours, than I ever had on a regular day visit. Walking on all the rides was priceless. The Christmas fireworks and stage show was awesome. Yes the parade was less than previous years, but still fun to watch. We got back to our resort around 2 am, slept, had breakfast, sat by the pool for about 1 1/2 hours, than took ME back to the airport, than flew back to Mn, and we’re home unpacking by 8. Why did we go. In Aug, we found airfare for 50 bucks, round trip. Got a cheap room, $138.00. Still had free ME. We decided to just go with a back pack, no luggage. If we find a deal like this next year, we are all ready to go again. But next year, we are all wearing our Christmas PJ’s! It was myself, my daughter, my grandson (18), and a friend. Such great memories were made! Well worth the money!

Hey that is so cool! Also in MN and will be flying down the Monday after Thanksgiving and returning on Wednesday, just a quick hop. Granted, yours was much quicker lol.

How fun! Especially if you split the room cost 2-3 ways. And with that air fare… what a great memory!

I would totally do that! before my husband I and I had kids we found a $59 each way flight from the east coast to LAX and I was able to get the Grand Californian at DL for like $100/night including tickets through my job. So we flew across the US for just 2 nights and back - had a great time.

That sounds awesome! MN girl here and we just decided a week ago to head down on December 5th and do the Christmas party that night. Then we'll do a day each at HS and AK and then head home on the 8th.

Hubby had limited vacation days left and I can't go to Disney without doing Magic Kingdom so this works out perfectly for us with a short amount of time available.

Glad you had an awesome time! Looking forward to our get-away in a couple of weeks!
