Ouch! I got my first set of stitches!

Well, This is a friendly reminder to everyone to be careful with electric hedge trimmers. I ended up with 5 stitches and a tetanus shot. The weirdest thing though was there was'nt anyone in the emergency room, and I actually had to find someone! All I kept thinking was good this will be quick and I won't miss the Disney special at 9:00.

We are currently having a big storm and my sattelite tv has just gone out! Ugh - typing with one hand is fun too. The good thing is the stitches will be out in 10 days. One week before I leave for Disney.

That is precisely why I would never touch hedge trimmers. Or a lawn mower, or a hammer, or a vacuum...

Very glad that you are OK and very, very glad that the stitches come out before Disney!

You must have been a great kid if these are your first stitches - my kids had them before they were in preschool.

yep, it's hard to believe that these are the first ones - I am 37.

I am going to have fun at work though, I am an administrative assistant. Typing is really hard with one hand. I am sure it will feel better and then I will be able to use it soon.

Ouch!! Hope you heel quickly and I have to agree with Audrey, I am loathe to touch any kind of electrical appliance like that!

Thanks for the well wishes. I guess I am picky about how the bushes are trimmed, that's why I do it. I should have been more careful, my hand should not have been anywhere near there!

I need to post a sign at my desk though. I feel like a broken record with everyone asking me what did I do!
