OTU points per UY?

I have a December UY and I am buying an October UY. Both are at the same DVC resort.
Am I able to buy 24 OTU points for December and 24 OTU points for October each year?
(I know I can only buy them at the 7 month mark.)

OTU points are per membership. So you could buy 24 OTU from your Dec UY and another 24 OTU from your Oct UY. Be aware that you can’t transfer the OTU points between memberships, so if a studio at VGF is 16 points, you can only get 1 night per membership since you don’t have enough points remaining (8 OTU available after 16 OTU points purchased for 1 night)

Yes. They would have to be separate reservations because they would be associated with different memberships. You can have MS link (not merge) them with a note that they are a continuing reservation.

What you cannot do is use 24 OTUPs from one membership and 6 OTUPs from the second membership to book a single reservation that requires 30 points (such as one night in a VGC studio at Christmas).

As long as you are booking a night 7 months or less, you can supplement what you have with OTU.
