Are the 3 contracts all the same use year meaning one Member number? Or are they different use years meaning you have more than 1 Member number?
I believe you can only buy the OTUP for the discount on the membership number that qualifies you for blue card/membership extras.

We probably have to wait for @Sandisw but in that case I believe only the membership that qualifies can purchase the OTUP at a discount. You can of course buy them at full price but what is the fun of that

OTU points are purchased per membership…the number of contracts doesn’t matter.

Each owner who purchases is entitled to the benefits of MMB, as this program is for the individual.

The individual can purchase things like the AP and tickets for others in the household

For OTU, each of your membership is entitled to 24 per UY…but if each of you purchase, you should be eligible to get the BOGO free for a different memgerhsip.

It should not matter whether the memgerhsip is eligible or not since only the owner needs to be to purchase. You and your husband would just need to buy the OTU points on different memberships.

Having said that, when I asked about this exact situation, I knew that all three of my memberships are DVC Y eligible.

So, you should be okay..but I’d confirm with MS before your second person buys.

It’s similar to Moonlight Magic. You qualify for early registration even if your eligible reservation was booked on a non eligible membership.

Yes you can still buy them but there really isn't a point to buy them in your 2024 use year since borrowed points have to be used by 8/31/25 and your OTUP for 2024 would expire then as well.

You said you had an Aulani trip booked for the start of your use year for Sep 2025. You can buy the OTUP 7 months out (Feb) and then use them for that trip to take advantage of the BOGO OTUP for your 2025 points.

I didnt have the Aulani trip booked - that was someone else. BUT it would be NICE!

BUT in addition to my March trip, booked with borrowed 2025 UY pts, I will be booking a trip for Sept 15th using some of my remaining 2025 UY pts along with the 24 BOGO pts I'm going to buy. This trip will be booked at Feb 15th to get to the 7 month mark but hopefully I can still get my home resort of CCV.

I’m ready to buy MMB and OTUP tomorrow. We have an upcoming trip in 3 weeks.

We have 2 memberships, same Sept UY, different names. One direct, one resale.

I can buy MMB and OTUP for a trip on direct contract. DH buys MMB but buys OTUP for the resale contract. If this is possible anything else to know? Would my points need to go toward a trip in Sept 2024 UY, and DH’s trip in 2025 UY (even though it’s a different membership?

It certainly does. Since the benefits are for the person…and each is entitled…then it should work.

Since they are requiring the enrolled owner to be present at the lounge, then it makes sense that some households might enroll both owners.

But, even if they say it must be used on the one memberhsip, you’d get them for your 2024 UY…which is for your trip in 3 week…and then your husband could buy for a trip in the 2025 UY on the same membership if you have a need that way too.

OTU points go into a membership. So, if you have two memberships, you should be able to buy them with the BOGO free offer under either membership.

If it’s all one membership, then they will be good for any trip booked 7 months or less.

I have only bought them once...but given the price of $10/point and that I can use points for my AP, the combination of them both works out in my favor for 2025....not sure yet how many I will buy, but might buy 10 for $200, and get 20 to put toward my AP, and instead of using 65, I use 45...or, I might do this to buy new instead of renew...

I have purchased more than I want to admit in the last few years, even after contracts. ha ha ha. I could have bought a small contract probably at this point but I keep saying this gives me a little flexibility not to be locked into dues for many years to come. It is really nice with this "perk" since for $99 I paid $240 for 12 OTUP and got 12 OTUP points for "free."

So here is my start-to-finish to buy 24 OTUP. I called at 10:06 am and finished at 12:28 pm. It took 20ish minutes to get a "team member" to approve the 12 free points. I booked a 24-point room in May to make it easier. I am going to cancel and reallocate to the existing ressie.

Welp....back on with MS chat. Cancelled the ressie with the 24 OTUP to apply it to my existing reservation (booked less then 7 months) and I see three contracts and it will only allow me to allocate 12 of the points (I am guessing it is the freebies that are the issue). Disney IT strikes again. Hoping this won't take long to track down my 12 points....
