Ottawa Free Dining Travelers....

How do you fly? I've been looking at airfare out of Ottawa for late September, and am getting no direct flights. Not to mention the rates for flights with connections is worse than I typically pay to WestJet for a direct flight.

WestJet is telling me no direct flights until November. Sunwing says no to YOW to MCO flights at that time of year. When I look on A/C, all I am seeing is connections via Montreal or Toronto. I'm sort of thinking Toronto is an option, since with the long late day layovers they offer, we could have a meal with my Mom on our flight home...

I looked into flights out of Syracuse - but by the time we pay for an extra night of kennel (we have 3 dogs), gas, hotel and parking; it's just not cost effective.

So, Ottawa families - how are YOU getting to Disney during Free Dining!

we are flying out of Rochester NY (4.5 hours drive) and we have direct flights with JetBlue in the morning leaving and Airtran at night on the way back. Total cost for 4 was 728$ US. We plan to sleep in Rochester the night before, but the hotel including parking for the week is not much more than we would pay at Ottawa airport.

Hi - We have gone with USAir via Wahington - you might want to check the American Airlines flying from Ottawa or via t\Toronto

Plenty of US airline options about of Ottawa, but we were hoping to avoid a connection. In talking with DH last night, I think we're just going to skip the Free Dining trip. With the little ones, a direct flight is so much easier on everyone; both us and our fellow passengers

Dh flies a lot for work and insists on clearing customs in Ottawa rather than Montreal or Toronto. If we can't get direct, we fly Ottawa to Washington to Orlando and same return. United I think... we've also flown US Air but through Philidelphia ... ended up witha long delay there though so Wash works best for us. Even though its booked thru United or US air, the Ottawa to US portion is usually operated by Air Canada as part of Star Alliance partner.
