Others Like Me, Or am I weird?

Although I am now a compulsive planner with DCL (and have always been with WDW), on our first few cruises we took it easy and just went with the flow. We didn't want to both with the ressie scramble, so we didn't eat at Palo for our first three or four cruises, and we just did our own thing in Nassau (other than the first trip, where we did DCL shore excursions to get the lay of the land). I think there is a lot to be said for both types of trips...the compulsive planner type and the laid-back type. Either way, it's a great experience!

Somehow, I hope to find a happy medium! With my pre-trip OCD, I decided that rather than paying the exhorbitant prices at the spa while on board which will cause me to have to run the ressie dash on embarkation day, I booked myself into my local day spa for a mani/pedi/facial for the day before we leave. I felt like a complete moron booking it 4 months in advance, but now I know I will get on the plane that night all "neat & pretty" ready to get on with the show!

Thank-you everyone for all your replies. I really think the relaxed cruiser wins out - so maybe we are not that WIERD after all. I'm sure that whichever way you chose, each and everyone of us will have a great vacation. I am informed, so I know my options, but will still do whatever moves me amd my family on vacation.
