i saw somewhere that some one joined the faries site, didn't they say something about a cars site too? what are the address for these?

I don't think Fairies is ready just yet. You can create a fairy and get a room. There is also a window to explore the fairy world. Very simple just now and the games are more like the mini-arcade games rather than multiplayer. I don't know if there is more planned. Right now it's more of support for the dvd. The artwork is lovely though so, if it does turn into a multiplayer world, it might be okay. Too soon to tell.

I agree, the art is great! The game won't open for at least a few more months - it keeps getting pushed back; I think it's due this summer now? It'll be a little like webkinz in that you'll need to buy toys and things to unlock items in the game, but it'll have lot more in common with vmk than ToonTown and PotC. Cars isn't up and running yet, either, and I don't know anything about the time frame for that one. I believe they're both being based on the club penguin code.

And that's why I'm confused that Disney didn't decide to hang on to the game a bit longer; they'd have a lot more luck moving current players over to the new games if VMK was still open. It'll serve them right if everyone gets absorbed in Webkinz or Maplestory or whatever tickles their fancy and never even give Fairies and Cars a try!

Thanks Bev for sharing that info about the fairies game. Out of all the options it is the most appealing so far...

nevertheless though, it bugs me that these games are based on a movie and buying things to access it. That tells me that sooner or later they will decide to retire those sites as well. Plus, it makes for a very limited themed virtual world. Pirates, fairies, or cars? How about a virtual world where you can have all of those things? That is why they won't be able to replicate the popularity of vmk.

How about a game where your an actual human-being? Just with different options.. like lets say.. vmk..?
