We're a park open to park close family of 5. On our last trip to
Disneyland, we fit in 21 rides\attraction in one day from rope drop to closing out the park. We could have done more but I purposely scheduled afternoon breaks at locations that provided air conditioning or shade to escape the mid afternoon blazing July sun. We also slowed down a bit in the afternoon as the wife and kids got a bid tired and took more breaks.
Attractions we passed on because of either timing, ride closures or family members not wanting to ride...
1) Disneyland Train - We really wanted to fit it in but timing was never right. Right after 10am, our originally planned time, the wait time never dropped below 45 minutes for the entire day
2) Space Mountain - No one else in my family wanted to ride it. I thought about doing single rider but opted to do more family attraction to spend time together
3) Matterhorn - Same as above. Considered doing single rider but opted to go with my kids to Autopia and Buzz Lightyear instead
4) Snow White, 5) Peter Pan, 6) Mr Toad, 7) Alice in Wonderland, 8) Mad Tea Party, 9) Dumbo, 10) Casey Jr Train, 11) Carrousel and 12) Storybook Canal Boats - Never got timing right and without Fastpass/
Genie+ available at that time, we weren't going to wait 45+ minutes for any of those FantasyLand rides
13) Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage - Closed that day
14) Monorail - Closed that day
15) Astro Orbitor - Never got the timing right with the wait times and we skipped it
16) Tom Sawyer Island, 17) Mark Twain Riverboat, 18) Sailing Ship Columbia, 19) Davy Crockett's Canoes, 20) Tiki Room - We decided to skip all these to have enough time to do all the rides the kids wanted to get done
If I ever do a solo trip, I do have a bucket list to do EVERY attraction\ride at Disneyland in one day! Something like doing rope drop and staying on a day that closes late like midnight or so. Then hoping that while I do the non-Genie+ rides, that I'll be able to go fishing for LL passes on rides that are broken down.
LOL....no breaks for me on that day, I got a goal to meet!
