Other fun things to do...

Hi All, It's been a while since we were last in WDW and things seemed to have changed a bit. Although we have had our flights booked since last August, we have only just decided to "do" disney again. Originally we were going to travel around Florida and maybe fly to New Orleans for a few days but we have decided to spend the first 6 days exploring south Florida then going to WDW for the last 2 weeks.

So, hotel booked and park tickets arriving today but my question is...what other fun things do people do when in Orlando. We have a car so can travel a bit so what other things can we try?

Is it just adults in your travel party or do you have teens or youg kids?

There is a ton to do in Orlando or within a short drive, it just depends on yourgroup's ages and interests.

Oh yeah...sorry...its just 2 adults...no kiddies this time...

We were thinking of small trips and not spending too much...we're going to the everglades national park so don't want to do the airboat ride...just some places of interest really...

We visited De Leon Springs and Rock Springs on our non park days - both great fun, take a swimsuit! Also Showcase of Citrus.
Kennedy Space Centre is excellent, but a bit of a drive.

We did Kennedy back in 2007 so will give it a miss but we'll check out the other things you mentioned...Thanks x

Leu Gardens are nice and they you can go to Winter Park, take the boat ride and have dinner. We also enjoyed Blue Spring State park and Bok Tower gardens.
