Other dvc resorts other than Disneyworld

Has anyone gone anywhere other then Disney world with their points? If so where and how many points do you need to stay at other places. We are considering buying DVC but have seen our parents have difficult with other timeshare resorts. They have found it very hard to transfer their weeks somewhere else other than their home resorts. We will use the DVC most of the time at Disney when are children are little but when they get bigger we would like to go other places. Are there also all inclusives that you can do at other places. Is there anywhere I can find a list of other places to stay, or cruises you can take.

Also how do you find out the points to stay at GF or Poly. I heard you can use your points there but the points are much higher.

never regret DVC.....

some of these places are like DVC - they don't give II all their weeks....

to do an exchange - the person in the timeshare has to exchange the week that you want - not very likely

the key to exchanging is to be flexibility. So never make your airplane reservations first. Unless you are going to Hawaii - then make sure you have a hotel reservation to go with the air reservation that you can cancel if you get your exchange.

oh - forget there is a DVC resort also at both Hilton Head, SC and Vero beach, Fl as well as 5 DVC resorts at WDW.
