SO we are going to DL for 7 days (yay!) and we were looking for a place to spend one day. At this point, we are thinking 5 days of DL(with some DCA), 1 at Universal and one somewhere else. We love the Disney spirit, and were wondering if there are any other places within 2 hours of DL. Sea World, Legoland, somewhere else that has the same kind of feel as DL? We aren't really looking at carnival type places like Knott's, as we can do that at home.

Thanks!

*FYI, I am 17, my brother is 15, my sister is 11...Its us three and our mom.

You're a little old to really enjoy Legoland. (We loved it, but our kids are little.) Have you been to Seaworld before? If not, definately go there. (It is a bit of a drive though!)

We live in Southern CA and have pretty much been to all the theme parks. In our opinion, there are none like Disney. That doesn't mean you can't have a great time elsewhere- just enjoy the other parks for what they offer.

I would suggest going to the Anaheim Gray line website. There are some good packages on there for Sea World, Sandiego Zoo, Universal Studios and more. The bus picks you up at your hotel, takes you to the park and drives you back to your hotel at the end of the day.

I particularily LOVED the Universal Deluxe package. You go to Universal Studios for the entire day, and after the bus picks you back up there, it drives you around Hollywood stopping at the Hollywood walk of fame, Chinese theatre along with other great popular sites in Hollywood (Disney concert hall, whisky a go go, you see celebrity houses) You also have 2 chances to get out of the bus and do some shopping and do your own individual walk around before you carry on again with the tour.

We did just like you on our last trip. We spent 8 days at Disneyland and one doing whatever else. We chose to do the Universal package and it was amazing. It didnt take away from our Disney Experience at all. It was just as exciting.

Mystic- Im assuming you had to buy Universal tickets on top of the tour price or does that include a ticket?

Thanks!

-Andy
